Associated content- Do they accept international writers?

Will Associated Content accept writers who are not residents from US?
I have registered and am accepted but when I read some of the guidelines, it says...writers must be legal residents of US

I'm fairly certain that they don't allow members outside of the US. I think it's a payment issue or something, where they pay by cheque and don't want to send them overseas.
