I'm not sure which country you are in, but I guess most countries have DELL. They have ones that are really good in graphics and they do not overly priced. I do know that you are willing to pay for the computer, but we wouldn't want you to unnecessarily pay for something cut throat, right?
Here are my recommendations for a great computer for high graphics...
High RAM.. DDR3 RAM or at least 6gb of DDR2 RAM
Great Graphic cards.. this depends whether you're a NVDIA or ATI fan, but cards are great.. but get one that is good and that is at least 1gb..
I've put some links below for you so you can view some of my selections.. From the best to the ones that are average but good enough for high graphic games..

Hope this helps!! :)

ATI Radeon HD 5870 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 470
Get a high end processor (i7 or phenom II)
At least 4gb of RAM(DDR3) with speeds of 1033MHZ up
You get a SATA II of SCSI HDD. Get as much capacity as you can.
Of course with this kind of rig, you will need a good PSU. You should have at least 800watts of true-rated power.
For the monitor, the bigger the better of course.
Good luck on the bill!

That's real high end. Really good specs.. To me, I've got a really good computer for someone who doesn't play games, and also a medium range computer for a gamer.. And the specs are like the xps8100 and it's really good enough for me actually..
A big internal hard disk and then another external to store your movies and music... The internal, make sure you partition it!! Leave like 100gb or something for just the windows system or whatever system you are using then install your games on the other partition, that makes sure that your start up and your windows flow will not be interrupted and have enough space.. :)

Hi Merelyn,
Spend more on an assembled pc instead of the Branded ones where it is difficult to get the right things at affordable prices. Invest on a good processor and have a huge amount of RAM (4+GB) and pay more attention to the Graphics Card with higher memory. Surf the internet for the latest on these hardware and make your selection. Happy Gaming
