Finally President has done something I can agree with

About time, huh?

You know, I have heard a lot of people say that they are against prez. obama, but he really is doing some great thing since he's been elected. The problem is congress can't agree on anything and everytime prez. obama tries to help out the american people , he has to go through congress. I watched a session that lasted 2 hours on the health care bill and in that 2 hours congress agreed on nothing, they fought over everything for the whole 2 hours, did not get one thing acomplished, played the blame game the entire time. They are not concerned about the american people, they are concerned about making themselves look good and making the opposing party look bad. It's all about politics and I think we should be able to fire everyone of them!!

Finally someone is doing something constructive! Why do political appointees get bonuses anyway? Any political appointee is a public servant and does not deserve special compensation, they are supposed to be working for the people and in that position because they want to help the country, not amass wealth and power. I know that concept is foreign to Washington but it's about time they are introduced to it. Good for Obama. At last, he's done something to improve things.

A step in the right direction. To be honest, I think that these people get too much and what do they really contribute. Not what they are worth, that is for sure. So I think that while Obama might have done a couple more good things(just a couple however, he has made his share of epic misfires), this is a good thing.

the president has been doing his best for a year now, maybe he has also done a lot of good things already.. maybe we just fail to notice it yet..

No person is totally evil...sometimes I tend to forget that. I really felt for the guy when they raked him over the coals for saying he bowled like he was in the special olympics. Gotta give the guy a break on some stuff...but on the important stuff I couldn't be farther from him on the way I see things.

This is good and, I agree, Congress needs to do the same. No bonuses and no salary increases either. There should also be a hiring freeze on non-essential positions. I hope this is only the beginning when it comes to trimming the fat in Washington.

Our Country is out of balance with so many people out of work and hungry these others getting hugh bonuses I just don't understand it. Congress fighting daily for the unemployment people not to get their peanuts while congress and political people are fighting for raises... Who gets it.
