Kadayawan Festival 2010 is fast approaching....(Davao City)

Kadayawan Festival 2010 - Madayaw! A warm and friendly greeting derived from the Dabawenyo word “dayaw” that means good. It is also used to describe any thing that is valuable, superior or beautiful. Such is “Kadayawan”, a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and the serenity of living.

This internationally renowned festival is a weeklong celebration that has been transformed into a festival of festivals. Being celebrated every 3rd Week of August, Kadayawan’s festivities are highlighted with floral floats, street-dancing competitions and exhibits that showcases the City’s tourism products and services.
