Which do you prefer?
Today I tried to choose a best response for my previous unsolved discussions, it was really a tough work! I was hesitate for a long time before each decision because there were so many nice responses. Sometimes I could only choose randomly. I felt guilty and regrettable when decided not to give a response "best response". So I rated them positive instead.

Best response v.s. positive rate, which do you prefer?
How do you deal with your unsolved discussions?
Do you think we should have multi "best" in myLot?

I would rather have a few best responses than a positive rate, but i dont seem to get ay of each, dunno why.
I tend to wait a few days, like 2-3 days, and then look back at the discussions i have started. If someone has given the response i was looking for if its a question, like for example asking how to do something on a game or whatever, then the first person to give me that gets the best response.
If the conversation is more subjective, than i give a best repsonse to whoever gave the best view (note, view is different to opinon, i dont just give people who agree with me the best reponse, its whoever was most logical etc).
I tend to give people postives if they are near to the mark, and i never give people negatives

A best answer is nice, but I think I would rather have positive ratings. It's pretty close though. I like that you can show off your best responses on your profile, but they don't help your reputation or earnings or anything.
I would rather have positive ratings because that means more people than just the discussion creator liked what I said.

Haha, I probably pay equal attention to both so it's a hard question to answer. I go for a best response whenever I reply to a topic, but if anyone on the topic felt I was helpful then I'm satisfied.

qianyun6 why does everyone have such a time making a best response, I just pick what seems to me the best response, it is not as though we are graded on these things and as there can only be one, I do the best I can and anyone does not like tough sh@t.As for positive ratings I do that all the time as we should all rate each other for months I have been ninty and a red star, cannot move up as very few p eople rate and I believe a lot of you do not realize nobody is rating us but us . it is in the mylot information if people will justt stop for a minute and read it. I do not get all bent out of shape over these things. life is too short and I want to enjoy mylotting not sweat the small things.

Well as far as Im concerned, everybody who answers my discussion, I rate positive because they took the time to answer and I feel its a nice way to say thank you.
I dont always have my discussions resolved but thats life. I still try to pick the best response but sometimes its not easy. I wish we could pick more than one sometimes. I hate having to pick between 2 people or more people when all the answers are good.
Im not sure what you mean by "multi best"??

Well I do the same thing. I responded to anybody who caught my attention specially if he/she commented fairly or negatively or impressively. And upon my response there also goes my rating. Don't trouble yourself too much. Just do whatever you think will suits you, rate if you want and respond to any discussions or responses that interests you.

Yes qianyun6. Actually we're like judging a contest and it was really hard to pick the best. I usually got positive and intellectual responses. But it's not necessary to be positive or must be agree with my point of view. I based the best respond rationally. How they will relate with the subject, and feel like if they will be in a situation plus it must be rational. Actually, also have unresolved topics because I usually wait for couple of days before choosing the best to be fair with my respondents.

Hello.;-)
Though it may be so easy to give a positive rating it is too difficult to give a a best response because just like you said there are so many responses that we consider as the best. However, I think it is not logical to give multi best....because as the word best implies there could only one among the many responses we get.
Therefore, we chose what is the most appropriate, applicable, sensible and the one that gives us that good feeling.:-)
Have a great day.:-)

I will rate (+) for the best responses. For the others responses that have good points, I will rate (+) only. It's logic, we choose the best response due to the response is good and good response deserve to be rated (+). And those for other good responses, rate (+) is enough to appreciate their effort. I think there is no need multiple best responses. Best response is only one.
I have some unresolved discussion and I need time to select best responses for them I hope I can do it immediately. I don't want to ignored many members whoa has responded to my discussions. Even though I couldn't find the best answer, I will just rate (+) for the good discussions.

Well I gave these both remarks depend on the topic... and the response. In my place, i'd like to receive best response When I participated fairly here that means I only did less than one hundred responses but I received few best responses from the discussion I commented and it felt good though I'm not earning too much.

There have been a few times that I had this same dilemma and found it difficult to rate, but I like your idea and will use next time I find myself in this type of pickle. Thanks for the idea.

Hi! I usually prefer the best response, although I also give positive rates. I just choose the one that's really meaningful. I also have my favorite MyLotters. Those that really give best advice and best comments from the heart. Although I don't respond to all, but I make it a point to answer some questions if one is given. Happy MyLotting to you!

It doesn't much matter to me which one I received. Of course it's always exciting when we get a best response because we can see that and I go back to the discussion to find out what exactly have I written to warrant that
As for positive ratings, we can't see when and who gave us that, it's only reflected by our stars, I guess sooner or later we will see ourselves moving up and then we know that many people have been at work rating us.
For my unresolved discussions, I tried to resolve it after I have given it 2-3 weeks to run its full course and select one which strikes out at me. Giving a "multi-best" would somehow defeat its purpose, because "best" indicate just "one" response. I prefer it as it is.

I prefer not to rate the responses . Each have different point of view . There is no positive or negative rate . All responses are welcome .

I realized that best response earn you more than normal response. But I don't know about positive rate. Anyway, mylot never given details of how the earning about and which is which regarding the best response and positive rate. Anyway, I guess we shouldn't have multiple best response and any decision in dealing with unsolved discussion, I guess nobody really care on how it resolve.
