people are using less yahoomail

Yes yahoo mail popularity has been reduced by the introduction of other mail services . But doesn't meant that they are out of the scene. They Competite now in many ways

I have a Yahoo email account as well as one through my ISP and hotmail. One of my issues with the Yahoo account is the fact that unless I upgrade to the paid version, I can't use an email client such as Outlook to check my mail. Well, I can but I have to hunt down a plug-in made by someone else. Microsoft has the necessary plug-in to check my Hotmail account using Outlook right on their site.

Intitally i think yahoo rocked, people when referred to get an E-mail id preferred this and it became a custom. But the mistake yahoo did is that it did not concentrate on improving its performance and look and even storage capacity. When GMAIL got into market even i switched and liked it in the first look itself. The reasons are that. mainly technically speaking they have used AJAX for page reloading, when you observe earlier yahoo, for page reloading it submits the entire form unlike yahoo GMAIL does not do that, it refreshes without getting submitted. One more feature is that the speed and look of gmail was very different which made me to consider that..!! I only use GMAIL..

I love to use yahoo mail and reluctant to switch other mail like gmail or hotmail. My first mail open in yahoo in 1997 & still now I am using it :-)
