Do you think it is fair for celebrities to recieve special treatment?

With the recent rash of poor beheved celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Linsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, it seem celebrities have a hall pass to acting out. Then the punishments are a joke. 13 days in jail for countless DUI's and drug possesion. 30 day rehab for Charlie, no jail. And we're still out on Mel. Don't they have to atone for their behavior? The rest of us little folk sure do.

Celebrities should relieve special treatment but not that they do. Those that society affords better pay and conditions owe more to society and should face greater penalties when the break its rules. Personally, I think they should be put in the stocks and pelted with rotten fruit and veg and have manure tipped over them

Whoa, whoa buddy. I just wanted LiLo to do at least a month. But I feel ya. They know they are public domain and people look at them and their behavior. They need to start upholding better standards. Seems like some need some self-esteem classes. Good luck and don't hurt nobody and if ya do make Mel first! Hahahahaha!

No, it's not fair. I think if you commit a crime, you should get the proper punishment. Celebrity shouldn't be taken into consideration when determining what the punishment is.
