Right after I finished writing a long post, I hit the "post" button, it just give me an error message about the web server. After I hit the refresh button again, the whole discussion was just gone. I hate it, hate it and hate it so much. All my hard work just gone in a second. Now, I have to remember how was my discussion go again.

I have issues quite regularly so before I hit post I copy my text so that I only have to fill out the title again. Easy shortcut: select all:ctrl+a copy: ctrl+c paste: ctrl+v

Even easier - use Chrome. You hit the 'back' button and it is all there

That is a little bit of hassle isn't it. So, every single entries I have to go through this procedure? Shouldn't be their job keep their server running right? I am here only to make money and make it smoothly.

After suffering from the same problem with many websites not only mylot, I usually apply one of two solutions: 1. write in Microsoft office and copy the post to the website 2. copy what you wrote before submitting it. If such error occurred, you can simply paste it again.

This is one reason why I write on wordpad or something similar then copy and paste it here as such has happened to me before as well. Happy mylotting.

Here is the thing. You won't necessarily write everything on the notepad before you do all that copy and paste procedure on every single entry right? Won't it a little bit of inconvenience? I would have to give it a shot and assume the system running smoothly.

When this happens to me, i double check the discussion to be sure my post really isn't there. if i find it never posted, it is frustrating. I have to start again and repost. Fortunately, this doe not happen to often.

I'm sorry that happened to you....it's really horrible when it happens. The funny thing about that when it happens to me it's usually when I have written a long post and then the message shows up...haha =]

I always prefer writing posts on MS word and then copy paste, but unfortunately Mylot doesn't allow to do this till we reach our 500 posts. You have posted more than 1000 responses so i think better you can do this.

Is this a computer glitch? It also happened to me just a few minutes ago, and not once. After rewriting my response and hit the 'post response' button, my discussion response was also gone. I don't know what happened. I was lucky on my third try, tho.

Yes, my friend.. it made me upset a few times, too! Mylot should make a discussion-window that is like a box on a site you type your username in, and next time you want to login, the username is automatically added.. They should make a window, that remembers your last text, if you refresh, or the firefox crashes, etc... have a nice day!

This is happening so often. It might be happening due to some technical glitch. I have learnt to save it before I hit the 'post response' button.

It happen lot of times to me, my internet access is not too fast so the pages normally last some time to charge. That´s why most of the time I try to don´t write so much to give an answer.

Hello And I do with writing numbers in a text editor and then copy it in MyLot. This I do from the outset - I can not imagine that I will write something and it will disappear ... terror. My advice to you and you start so it is very convenient. Good luck :)

Hello kingparker. That happened to me today too, (8/4/10) Must have been a glitch. I hope that it does'nt happen often. Perhaps if you have a profound response, you can write it down first :) Nonetheless, I hate when its happens too.

that happened to me a few times. that's why each time I write a long comment I copy it just to be sure. The first time this happened to me, I wrote a huge comment and then I had to rewrite it - so frustrating!

Do what I do. I usually type up a response and then highlight the whole response and cut/copy it. Ctrl-A to select-all, Ctrl-C to copy. Ctrl-V to post back if it blows up on you.

I have experienced it several times in the past. With Opera browser I simply press the back button. The result? I did not lose anything. Depending on factors which I think, based on experience, include the length of the written text, it can take up to a few seconds for the text to appear. It is worth the wait because I did not have to rewrite everything.

I had that problem one before a couple of months ago. There is not much you can do about it i guess unless you contact support if it keeps happening and report it them otherwise there is nothing to get what you have writtem back. It is frustrating though I see what you mean and Im sorry that you had to deal with that today.

Oh yeah, I have ranted and raved myself about this happening and pulled my hair out and thrown my monitor across the room in frustration. OK, OK, I exaggerate, but it is very frustrating. At least you have enough posts to earn copy & paste privileges, kingparker, so no need for you to remember how your discussion went. Those of us who are sub-500 (or whatever the magic number is) are less lucky. *sigh*
