Oily skin can come from a lot of sources and although there are over the counter products that can help dry some of the oil if you are not sure which to use you may dry it too much.
Do you eat too many fried foods as this can contribute to oily skin, I would start with a face wash to help with oily skin. However if you notice that this does not help going to a doctor would be your best option as then he can prescribe sometime that will not dry it out too much and or suggest a dietary supplement.
Good Luck as at age 20 it is not a pleasant feeling to be breaking out as if you were hitting puberty.

Yes eating lots of repeated daily greasy foods causes oily skin especially on the face, So if you cut that down you notice a difference. I know when I eat things like fries daily I get very oily face. Soon as I stop eating it daily I can notice the change in my facial appearance. I do not mean do not eat it ever, it is eating every day that causes the extra oil.
Going to a specialist will definitely help and the specialist is going to tell you about the affects of dietary intake as well.

I believe it's hormones that's causing your oily skin. I used to have oily skin as a teenager. As I grew older, my skin became dryer and dryer. For now, there's only one area in my face that gets a little oily (in about 6 to 8 hours' time after washing), and that's the nose. There are many products out there specifically made for oily skin, I can't tell you what's best for you because every product works differently for every individual. A product doesn't need to be expensive to be effective. That one thing I've learned after so many years of trial and error. The best remedy for oily skin is to control it, manage it, by washing every now and then. don't overdo it though. and use a cleanser that's gently enough, that won't irritate your skin.

Yes, there could be certain things in your diet that causes this, or makes the problem worse. Try avoiding very fat foods as well as sugar for a while to see if this changes anything for you.
There are also a lot of really good skin care products for oily skin that you can try. My favorites are products by Neutrogena. If you have them in your country, I can highly recommend them!

I used to have the same problem. I would have terrible break outs. It was probably because I was eating a lot of fast food, and I also wasn't taking care of my skin.
Try Clean & Clears morning burst, I found that really dried my face out a lot, which I didn't think was possible. That's kind of what my oily skin needed. Now I have pretty good skin, haven't gotten pimples in over 2 months.

Having oily skin has a lot of factors interplaying.First is genetics. Good skin is not always just because of what products you use, if you have really good genes probability is that you also hava good skin if your parents have that too. Second depends on your hygene and third are the prducts you use.
If you have oily skin shy away from using moisturizer or creams that are oil based because you will only build up the oil in your face . make sure to use a water baised moisturizer its a lot better for you. try using blotting papers its the most convenient way to be oil free without clogging your pores instead of retouching with powder or makeup .Have you over tried oatmeal mask?? they are good oil absorbers as well you should do it at least once a week depending on how oily your skin is
