My Friend and his problem of over possessive and hot tempered wife

My friend is good and modest type of person.He loves his wife very much. Trouble is that his wife is hot headed and over possessive type. He becomes very uneasy due to his wife's behaviour. She dominates him in every matter.He has to wear clothes selected by her wife only.she cook food as per her likings.She also behaves discourteously with his many friends. My dear friend once told me about this problem.He affirmed that he is loving her so deeply and want to live with her.But he want to Rectify rude and odd behaviour of his wife. SO.....I was thinking about what to suggest for this? Do you have any or more suggestions?
