I just wanna ask all my fellow filipinos, which broadband do you think is the best? or what broadband connection do you use in surfing the net?.. I have used Sun Broadband for a year, and i must say that their connection is not consistent. More often than not the connection drops into 0 kbps. Ad the worst thing is that I always get disconnected unexpectedly which interrupts the file currently being downloaded. I promise to myself not to use that again.

All the internet providers are basically the same. Believe me, all of them may it either be sun, smart bro, or globe tattoo they all uses the same technology and equipment. So basically there is little to compare. However each and everyone of the network providers has different location of cell sites which is basically where your signal for your broadband is coming from they also have different optimization techniques. So the best way to determine which will fit your location or house is to investigate and check whether a cell site is near your house or not and determine if it is either smart, globe or sun cell site. Then for sure if you will use the broadband that is near your location then initially you won't have any problem on your connection. But yes you are correct regarding Sun broadband, I think Sun was not able to optimize their network to fullest. That is why you always get problems on your connection my best advice is for you to transfer to a different technology use WIMAX it is definitely faster than broadband.

yeah that's right WIMAX is faster because it's a 4G technology. But I have red some complaints regarding the WIMAX of globe where in subscribers cant see the difference in terms of speed, they are complaining that it is still slow! that's why I chose to subscribe with the WIMAX offered by Smart!.. so far its good and the good thing is they don't have maximum download limit

Currently I think WIMAX of Globe is still in the optimization process. They are currently working that out. Since Globe knows that definitely. For sure expect that by the end of this year. Globe WIMAX would eventually be working in good condition. Wi-tribe is also offering WIMAX technology have you tried that?

I use Smart Broadband. I don't have any choice though. It's not good when it rains or the electricity suddenly went out. They get problems when those things happen. But I still think it's good because you don't get sudden disconnections. And also well you get freebies. I got a printer when my mom applied for it.

I have asked that same question before here. I think it would depend on where you are located and the availability of the signal at the specific moment. Am using Smartbro now and I think it's fine.

I agree with you kathyglim. It depends on where you are located too. A smart tower is located just nearby my house, so my dad told my mom to subscribe to Smartbro. But still, it sucks when it rains, or when the electricity suddenly went out - it takes them 12 hours or more to have your connection back.

Mobile broadband really depends on the area your in, specially when you have HSPA in your vicinity the connection is faster. But its the way to go since its way cheaper and most easy to use. But cable broadband/internet provider is much faster but you have to pay the price for this. In terms of brand I like SMARTBRO since it has more cellsites around the Philippines and signal is a must to have a connection.

im using smartbro plan 999,so far i have no problem with my connection except there is a typhoon. but in my opinion i cannot say which is better broadband and which is not, cause its depend on how far or how near your place in the service site. of course the better you closer to the site the better signal you receive. i will recommend subscribe to a service which near on you place.

for me i still never use any other broadband because i still have my first broadband and that is Sun-cellular broadband, its a wireless and the best wired internet provider i had before was PLDT because the speed never change and will always stable.

When I venture down to the province I use Smart Bro. Although I'm limited to just a GPRS connection. There is a Globe cell site near the place but connection speed is still the same with Smart Bro. Here at home I'm using PLDT MyDSL. I guess it all depends on the availability of signal in your area and number of users currently connected. Add to that the structures/trees that impedes the signal from reaching you. Go with a wired one.
