Well, something you don't really hear every day. The Carnapper was shot and supposed to be brought to hospital for medication attention. although the mother of a deceased Ivan Sevilla kinda blame the cops for either foul play or inproper capture of this person. other sources are taking the possibility of media to be sued for intervention before he got to the hospital, causing his death. Unfortunately, this Network had to be ABS-CBNreporters, rival networks dared asked for comment but as usual there is none i wouldn't be surprise, anything for the ratings or get the story first, or who gives a damn about him, i get the story first watch this from GMA 7. any views. of course, we would simply reason out rivalry here but it's something i couldn't get my head out of.

I saw the footage where ABS-CBN interviewed Ivan right after the shooting as he was being loaded on the van. On one hand, it looked like a short interview but television can be deceiving. They claim that the interview was only a minute, but I think every minute counts when you are fighting for your life. It was a bit tackless for the reporter to interview a dying person. I don't remember what the question was, but I bet it was something like "so how do you feel" questions that these reporters ask. Those are not questions worth stopping an emergency. Network rivalry between ABS-CBN and GMA seems at the highest nowadays. They think its news when the other network trips up.

I heard about Ivan Padilla with my friend. I do not know the whole story until i read your discussion. First of all, it is the job of the media to collect news and report it to the public with all honesty, complete and detailed. However, I have no knowledge of what did the media done and what kind of intervention they had done. I wish you can complete the story for me my friend, if it is okay. So I get this, the mediamen/women is from ABS? I am intrigue to know the complete story from you before I give my point of view. Thanks let. Hope to hear from you. Sorry as I leave my job at 10pm, usually when I got home I will go to sleep and do not watch any news at all.

i think he's name was ivan padilla. i believe what happened was accident. but of course, they have to comply if the mother that she needs to sue the cops for what ever alleged that they did. too bad in every arrest there is always consequences to the cops.

I believe that its the cops that are to be blame, they never followed the standard operating procedures on encounters such as this. If they are to plan for a frame up perhaps they could have done it clean. But they're no expert, doesn't even know how to clean their mess. That was a clear frame up and we have to blame it on cops.

Hello Julius, and they think they can be heroes in this matter. yup another troubled shoulder on their claim. they should have brought it to hospital rather than media first, still if they bought to hospital, the media can interview them too.

It seems that you seems to like GMA 7 rather that ABS CBN. I can't blame you on that you have your right to choose which network is betters. For media practitioners it is a race who will get the story first and the first to have it on air. Of course the looser network will make another story out of the first story so that they could also at least get a share of the ratings.

Hello Diogzz, well, it wasn't really a race since they got there first. but what concerned is the criminals condition that should have been taken cared of first rather than go for the interview. they could have gotten more from him if the media preferred him to be taken into medical assistance, i saw that interviewed, he couldn't answer anymore.

I prefer GMA 7 over ABS-CBN when it comes to news reports. Although the media tends to sensationalize on every stuff I find the latter biased. I still remember Ces Drilon labeling the landslide here in our place "killing fields" which for lack of a better term is total BS. It was nature at work duh. ABS-CBN also reported that Baguio is 90% landslide prone only to find out that there are categories and they just added them all up. Turned out that those potentially life threatening was way less than that, around 20% if my memory serves me right. I guess they'll do anything to get an edge over the other network's rating. That's how the media rolls. And I don't care about the carnapper.:)
