I live in England and in my younger days I lived quite close to London. I used to have days out in London and from the ages 18 to 20 years old I worked there. I loved seeing sights like Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. I enjoyed going to Kew Gardens and Hampton Court. I know that London is one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in Europe. It is just as special as Paris when sightseeing opportunities are considered. If you have some day trips you could take the train to Rye, Hastings or Brighton. Leeds Castle near Maidstone is very majestic looking. If I went back to London I would have a ride on a big sightseeing wheel that is called the London Eye. Remember some people are fed up with London. They are the locals that are used to the beauty. As a very keen traveler I can say London is a must see city that is probably going to delight you. I have been to more than 50 different countries and about one hundred different cities. This year I went to Vancouver and last year I visited Cape Town. Good luck with your trip to London.

London's a quite big city, so no matter what you like to do you should be able to find something. I like going to museums, and there's quite a few of them there. If the weather's good, it's very nice to go to Greenwhich, have a lunch in the park, go to royal observatory and the museum and wander around in Greenwich and look at shops. If you like arts, there galleries. I'm not really into art, got "overdosed" when I was studying in Vienna :-) I also like going to parks, look at the birds and the people, maybe have coffee and cake in on of the cafes there. In the evenings, there's lot of things to do. All kinds of clubs and party places if you're into that and food of about every taste and price. I like pub food, it's often very good, not too expensive and the setting is not so formal. There's also lot of musicals and concerts, especially musicals are very popular with many visitors. For the public transport it is easiest and cheapest to get an oyster card. You can buy the visitors version at the airport if you come with plane. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Bring lots of money with you as London is expensive! If you're using the tube pick up a tube map which should be available in every station. The weather is unpredictable so bring/buy an umbrella. Be prepared for any snobby people lol... Give tips depending on how well you thought a service was, I'm not sure. Don't forget to go to the various museums and theatres Les Miserables is a good show at Picadilly Circus at the Queen's theatre. There are tonnes of other shows but you'll have to research what you like. You can visit the 02 at Greenwich there'll have lots of shows there. Science museum, natural histroy museum, british museum and loads more... Oh visit the Queen's house get out of Green Park station for that. Have a ride on the London Eye, get out of Westminster station for that. Bring a map with you, you'll need it. There's lots of shopping to be done too and there'll be shops everywhere you go so don't worry about that. If you want to visit me come out of ******* station xD
