ok, so in this day and age, housewives turned into career womens. They aren't as many housewives as it was back in the day. It's all about being a career women now. But having a career or being a stay at home mom is still a job. And everyday all the time job! I'm not a mother or a wife, but I do know this. So how do you find time for yourself? For me, im a college student, a part-time temp and i also do work online. As we all do since being members of mylot. Since being busy throughout the school year plus tring to handle working, I make time for me to have fun.If it doesn't come i'll take it lol. Either its being early mornings or late night. I will for sure find time for myself. What about you? how do you make time for youself? Or is it just impossible to do?

Hi keshia2007,
Finding time for yourself, not matter what your post in life is, whether you are a mother and have a career, or a single woman with no family, it can sometime be next to impossible to find the "me time" that most of us so desperately need.
I do have a pretty active live-style, dealing with children all day on the job, and family and traveling, but I make dates with myself for that "me time." I don't let anything (unless it is urgent)disrupt this time that I need to regain my sanity and serenity.

I agree, and that sounds great to set aside a day just to have that "me time" great idea. And yes so many people are all about their career and families they forgot about themselves. Mom usually comes last in a family. Its the children, husband and maybe the mom. so yes, definitely important to have time to yourself. btw thank you for your comment. have a great night!!

It's hard to find time for yourself especially if you are a working mom. Your day off is usually spent with the kids. However, as a working mom myself, I believe that we deserve a little for ourselves to recharge and as a reward for hardwork. I would usually spend half a day if time permits. just to go to the spa or shop alone.

Yes, I agree. I'm not a mom, but I could imagine all the hard work it takes to be a hard working mother. Mothers do deserve a day at the spa as you said. Cheers to time for yourself, thank you for your comment and happy mylotting!!

It is just a matter of time management.
I am a mother of 3 and is working with part time jobs (networking and business) and also online jobs.
I still find time for myself like going out with friends and also with my kids since my kids were young adults.
We don't have househelp and i do all the houseworks by myself with my kids helping me too.
I enjoy my time being a mother as well as doing things to achieve my dreams and earn money on my own as well.
Have a wonderful weekend

No matter how busy our lives may get, we need to find time for ourselves. Taking care of our jobs and families can leave us feeling like there is no time for me. This is when you just need to find a place that is all your own and devote some time to me. My me time is usually in the evenings. I always try to find something that makes me happy and find time for the me inside.

I agree, sometimes taking care of your family is when everybody else comes before you. It is very important to have time to yourself. and I like your idea, might take after that one. btw thank you for your comment!

You are right, it is really tiring being a wife, a mother and a career woman. You see, women are usually the one having so many roles in the family. When wife gets home from work they have to prepare dinner while the husband and the children wait to be served. Sometimes i asked if it is fair or maybe the husband just don't care. So i think its but right to give themselves a break. Wives who work hard should spend a part of their money for relaxation and personal needs.
I am a mother but i don't have a husband anymore so i am also the father to my daughter. I am really tired everyday specially on weekends. So if i have time i watch a movie or watch a mini concert at the mall. Most of the time, i just take a nap in the afternoon.

I have worked for almost 14 years in a semicon industry. I have never had a quality time for myself that time. Now that I have resigned and become a stay-at-home mom, I can say that I find time for myself when I am in front of my computer at the same time having coffee on the side. How I love it! I can only do this when my little 2-year old boy is asleep.

When I was a career woman, I could not find much time for personal pursuits. Now that I am retired, I have more time on my hands. So, I do a spot of gardening and watch the plants grow. I also visit friends and meet them over lunch every weekend. I also catch up on my reading.
As I am quite computer savvy these days, I also surf and go to Facebook.

I am a college student myself (will be attend grad school online) so I know how hectic things can get. I am also in the process of launching an online store and am making things to sell online. I always set aside an hour each day to work online and also an hour to do my crafts. I have my craft table set up in my computer room and whenever I the door is closed my husband knows not to come in and bother me. I know once school gets into full swing for me it may be harder to take time for myself, but I know I can do it.

Good luck in school and with your online business and hopefully when school starts you can have some time to yourself as well. btw thank you for your comment!

Uhmmm...I am absolutely speechless seeing this topic as I have never thought of such steps like having time for oneself. I am a workaholic and do work 12hour shifts and after closing, it's straight to bed after dinner. The same day, the same routine.
I think I need a break really. I have friends to visit, family members etc I am going to take a leave to be able to do all these arrangement. I think my family especially would be glad that I eventually have time for them.

Being a mother and working full time does not leave you time for yourself. Any free time is spent taxiing the kids to their after school lessons, cleaning the house, cooking and by the time I'm ready, I feel so tired that all I want is to sleep. Any little time I have, I write articles on the internet. As kids grow up, I know that there will be more free time in my life so I'm not worried about that, but sometimes overworking makes me loose my sense of fun and that is what I don't like. I do go for a walk early morning every day though and I think that is my time for myself.

I agree. Being a full time mom, and working full time is a huge job. I acknowledge all mothers on that(hat's off). But you're right, as soon as your kids get older you'll have as much time as you need to relax. thanks for your comment and happy mylotting!
