Makeup Primers

Do you use a primer for your makeup? Recently i discovered there is a cheap alternative to foundation primer. I started using monostat chaffing gel and so far i freaking love it! And its so cheap, like $6 at Walmart! It keeps my makeup looking fierce all day. I'm considering using other primers like the eye primer by urban decay... Any thoughts?

I personally don't use primers. At makeup school we got Napoleon primer but to be honest I find just plain old moisturiser to work just as well. That's what primer basically is- moisturiser. However, in saying that, you may be applying thicker more dramatic makeup and that could benefit from a good primer that also has ingredients in it that helps makeup to really stay on.
I have also heard that Urban Decay's eye primer is awesome. It's a cult product so go for it!

I use Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and it rocks! My daughter who is police officer told me about it and she said it is amazing how well it holds hers on even while out in the heat, and doing all the things she does in her job. She says at the end of the day when she touches up her makeup before she leaves work, her eyeshadow is still there. So I tried it and sure enough.. it makes it all last all day! $18 but it lasts a long time since you only use small amount

I have just been looking into this foundation primer also. Then my daughter gave me a Revlon brand and it tends to make my face oily after few hours. Then I was at Ulta and saw some Olay things on discount and grabbed them..their eye makeup remover is great... and there was a foundation primer discounted. I grabbed it and it does have a touch of color to it, so sparingly I use it and sometimes I only use it and not the foundation itself. But either way, use both lightly and it does help the foundation stay on very well. I love Olay Definity....I swear by it. It works for me like nothing else has!
