Why do people love rumors? / myLot

For three months that I have been in this company, there is one thing I have noticed the most. People love rumors and spreading them. I could say there were only few whom I could say were professionals. Most of them were not. I'd rather talk about the ideas than the people. I'd rather discuss sensible topics than rumors. Obviously, i don't like my working environment.

I've discovered that the majority of people who spread rumors and talk about other people have no lives and their world revolves around all the drama. I hate drama and the people who like to create it. I just try to avoid them if I can.

i also avoid them as much as i can. they don't make me rich and they don't make me poor so i evade. =)

I hate rumors too. People that do it seem to have a boring life so they have to talk about someone else's life. For some reason it seems to make them feel better about their lives. To me, it's just silly and immature.

i think so. instead of doing something productive in life they tend to waste time minding other people.

People say things they would soon regret. These are usually rumors which most of the time are not true. Girl, if you don't like your working environment, leave it. Find some other place to work. You might get bitten or eaten by the people you work with. You know what I mean.

Rumors induce conflicts between people in the workplace and neighborhood. It will not die down as long as there are people who keep on spreading it from one mouth to the other. I know this scenario is always present everyday especially in a big company where there are many employees. Just ignore to avoid them.
