how much was the biggest earthquake you experienced in your life????

i experienced 8.0 in 2008.maybe you know,that wenchuan earthquake happened in Chiana which killed more than 80000 people.

Well i live in Southern California, so i've experienced a lot of earthquakes. I believe there was a pretty big one back when i was a baby to the point my parents car rolled out of the driveway, needless to say i was a baby so don't remember. Biggest i remember was probably somewhere around a 5.0 or so, hard to rmeember because there are soooo many here.

Hi abj! Well, I live in NYS and we surely were never supposed ever experience earthquakes on this side of the globe, but one morning about 25 years ago we did! I think it also was about a 2.7, but it sure was loud and shook my bed really hard and the walls too! What scared me most was the very loud roar, like a train, but louder and fiercer! It was 6:30AM and I was sleeping, but getting read to get up to go to work when "it" started! I don't know how long it was, probably not long, but I was alone with my little cat and she was scared too! After it stopped I could hear my neighbors upstairs talking trying to figure out what just happened and I turned on the radio to find out that it was an Earthquake and the faultline was 5 minutes from where I live, hence the nice "jolt"! Then the next day I was in the shower and heard the "noise" again and freaked! I just couldn't believe it was doing it again and here I am in the shower! Holy sh!t! It was an aftershock, of almost the same magnitude though! Great! It never happened again, thank God! And I hope it never does because it is like nothing I've ever experienced before and I can't even imagine one of an even greater magnitude where the earth really separates and opens up! I'm scaring myself now!

i experienced a 6.5 many years ago when i lived in California it was scary but the worst thing i ever experienced in my life was hurricaine Katrina on the miss gulf coast

20 years ago to be exact last July 1990 when i experienced the greatest fear in my life. It was scaled 7 and killed hundreds and hundreds of lives in my hometown. You couldn't just imagine how scary it was. The tremors,the screaming and terrified voices.

Magnitude 7.1 in the year 1991. I was in school at the second floor of a 7 storey building. It is when the Hyatt Hotel in Baguio City collapsed. This earth quake kills several people.

hi abj163 hi yes I have exp erienced many tremors from 2 up to 5 and thats a shocker but there were no real injuries here in 'Southern California but across the border in Mexico the border towns had a lot of damage but not a lot of injured people and no deaths. Most tremors are just for a few seconds and we just do not get all panicked at them.'Its only when it gets above five then it gets hairy.
