Windows Media Player problem

I have windows 7 home premium installed in my laptop.Recently,when I open my windows media player,my laptop gets laggy and not responsive.How do I solve this problem?

Follow these steps, i think it could help you :) Good Luck
1- Go to control Panel
2- Choose programs and feature (not uninstall)
3- Choose turn Windows Feature On or Off on the left of screen
4- Find Media Features
5- Unmark Media Features then press OK
6- Simply restart, and reinstall media player 12

I doowloaded the file but the setup says unsuitable for the system.Maybe I downloaded the wrong file.Can you give a direct link?
And,I have a 64 bit windows 7 home premium.

There is only one Version WMP12 for all Win7.

I think I will just use Media Player Classic.Thanks for helping me on this problem.
