I tried withdrawing my money from Paypal to my BDO account. I used the Bank Code that Paypal provided me, and after 5 days, I'd got my money at BDO. But there is a PHP200.00 difference. I'd read something about this PHP200.00 additional charge at BDO, but nobody confirms if it is really a TRUE. Does anyone here knows that TRUTH.

I didn't know that BDO is still accepting PayPal transfer. I mean, they used to but not anymore which is why PayPal is no longer listed as their partners in money tranfer (see tarpaulin list in their branches) If you are using your PayPal often, why not open an EON account with Unionbank? It's specifically designed for online payments/transactions with PayPal.

there is a fee, a steep one at that, when you withdraw your paypal funds into your bdo account. you can withdraw your paypal funds to your bpi account and the fee is smaller especially if your withdrawing Php7,000 and up, i think bpi waives the fee. hope this helps. thanks!

Are you using BPI? Cause from what I know, it charges even more than BDO. About 250 from what I can recall. The only one I know of that charges 50 is Unionbank's Eon card and waives the fee when withdrawing over 7k.

I personally have a BPI account but I had to obtain a Unionbank Eon card this week so to avail the cheapest fees at the moment.

What credit or debit card you used in verifying your status?actually in verifying status in paypal we need to deposit P200 on the card we used for verification but this amount would be return to you by paypal, may it be the P200 difference you received is the same amount the paypal get from your card. If you are using BDO card in verifying your status, naturally BDO will charge you with P200 but this amount would be returned by paypal to you in the succeeding months. I hope I explained everything clearly.hehe

I guess receiving money from BDO that comes from Paypal is not allowed so I am not using BDO for money transfer from Paypal, I'd rather use Union Bank eon account because they will not give you any charge if you are transferring more that 7,000php so why don't you try EON I think it would be better and most the people in Philippines use this account for transferring their money from Paypal.

I am also using my BDO account in transferring money from paypal and I also experienced the same. I wasn't able to withdraw from BDO what I withdrawed in Paypal, even if the charge is supposedly Php 50 only. There was really a difference of Php 200. I thought I was just wrong in computation. But now I know that I am not only one experiencing this, I will try to call their customer service and inquire about this.

From what I know, BDO and BPI requires 200-250 transaction fees. Unionbank's Eon card is by far the cheapest with Php50 when withdrawing bellow 7 thousand and FREE if withdrawing over 7 thousand pesos. :D

The Php 200 is the bank's processing or transaction fee on top of (or in addition to) the Php 50 Paypal charge when you withdraw an amount less than Php 7,000. Different banks have different processing fees (Php 50 to Php 250) but some have don't have this additional charge. I am using my Union Bank account to withdraw my Paypal money and I am only deducted Php 50 from every transaction I did.

You're lucky that you were able to successfully transfer your money to BDO. The last time i called BDO's call center i was informed by the agent i've talked with that according to her supervisor paypal transfer to BDO is not allowed. That was over a month ago so i guess the rules changed.
