Hi everyone, I'm just wondering when you get a Best Response, do you go back to the post and review it, then leave a note of thanks? I usually do that but feel like I'm showing off. I thought somehow the topic would be regenerated again. Would you like that for your topics? Or is it better to send a PM? What do you think?

While I've never gotten a best response (i just joined haha) I don't see it as "showing-off". It's more of a way to boost up your post count, and to show gratitude.

sometimes i want to end PM instead, but as far as i can remember,i haven't done it.most of the time,i leave a comment to the discussion and give thanks of course.but like you, there are times,i also find myslef showing off.i don't know. but now,i'm wondering why my rank gets low, just too fast...

of course, they should be given thanks.i guess we all are busy here and some people really don't have time for picking those best responses.but of course, when you are the one starting the topic,it's also nice to give comment before marking the best response, right?

Hi Annavi, that reminds me to get back to respond on people who gave me best response... showing off or not, they deserve it.

You are not showing off, sweetie. I normally thank the person in that discussion for the BR. I don't think of it as showing off, i only show my appreciation for that person to think i gave good advice. TATA.

Hi saph, Yes, the only reason I wish for BR is I have been of some help to people and given a really good response. Thanks for your reminder and sharing.

I don't do this myself - I usually send a private message if I feel the need. But you're not showing off just for saying "thank you for best answer!".

Hi, bluemoonpavilion. I have never looked at it this way. I never seen myself as showing off. Never that. I do sometimes, will go back to the post and thank the person for giving me a best response though. I never send an PM. I think that it is nice if they were sent an PM.

Thanks cream! I guess it's a way of showing appreciation. I will make it a point to always thank someone if they give me a BR. :D

well i do not think it to be like that it is a sign of gratitude to those members who have responded to the topics you had made, i do not see it as a sign of showing off, it is normal as most members often do it too

Hi nancy, Thanks for your comment. I do admit that I haven't seen many people doing that, but maybe it's because I haven't read enough discussions or somehow missed seeing those thanks.

It's a showing off? I don't think so! After people get a big reward, like Nobel prize, the rewarded person usually gives a speech to express his feeling of being rewarded and thank the committee which gives his the reward. Is it a showing off? Though winning a best response can't be comparable with Nobel prize, I think no problem to thank the giver by a comment.

Nobel prize? Wow! I think I will say a BIG thank you next time...

Hello Bluemoon. I just go back and say thank you. I think it's polite and not showing off at all
