Today,I and the other friend are married, happen to talk about the movie Chloe while we were on break. As I was telling her the summary of the movie one question was brought up. Does Julianne Moore reflect the crisis of a married woman in late 50's? Why and How does it happen?
Happy mylotting!

I've seen that movie, I actually have it on my computer. It was an ok movie I guess. I would've handled the situation the same way.. I'd like to think anyway. Then again, I don't think I would because when the girl she hires (chloe) to make sure her husband isn't cheating.. well.. it's interesting. lol

Hi, I seen this movie ,It’s fun to see robots blowing each other up, get a cheap scare from a other up, get a cheap scare from a comedy, but no sensation can compare to that of a dissonant drama with the power to feel real. Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried provide Erin Cressida Wilson’s script with an intense breath of authenticity guaranteeing you feel the pain inflicted upon their characters by the plot’s extreme circumstances. Making Chloe even more potent, those conditions are especially unnerving.

I would like to respond to your discussion. But I have not watch the movie Chloe yet, hope you could let me borrow the DVD so that I could watch it. Hehehe.. According to what I've heard from your summary, I guess I just guess that is the crisis of late 50's women. But I guess as well that is not for all. There are some women who would have that kind of crisis but not all. I feel afraid to reach that age, coz I might feel that urge and I am single. Huhuhuhu..

Well a very practical problem is shown in the movie , a dejected housewife played by Juliane Moore who is ignored by both husband and son and she feels lonely and starts to think negative that her husband is cheating on her, another cunning girl played by Amanda seyfried who is also deprived of love being a call girl is attarted towards her and manipulates her by making her believe that she is having affair with her husband played by Liam neeson. All this can happen in real also becuase husbands especially who are intelligent and smart are attracted towards young girls and flirt if not have necessarily have an affair and in that process they ignore their wife and marriage fails .Similarly teenage boys connect better to cool fathers than concerned mothers and hence they too ignore. These are practical problems of life which are clearly evident and surely it reflects crisis of married woman in late 50s.

i really believe so thats the case of the movie CHLOE portrayed. Though not all, yet generally, men aged over 40 tend to engage in extra-marital affairs. These for reasons like men wants to feel young again by going out with younger women. Another reason could be is that, they want to prove that with their age, they still have the power to lure girls into their charisma.

I found Chloe to be a very exciting & interesting movie!!! I found Julianne Moore's character, Catherine, to be a very insecure person. Maybe it's just the way I look at life, but I don't find her to be representative of a married woman in late 50's. Yes, I would want to know if my husband was cheating on me; but I think I would have gone about it in a much different way!!! Not wanting to spoil the movie for others, I'll just let it go at that.
