sarath49, Yes, people can be struck my lightening and survive to tell their story. I guess it depends on how sever the hit was and where the person was at the time. Whether they were indoors, outdoor, on land or water. Even though a person survive being struck my lightening they can have premanent disabilities. In this case, the person go a great memory. I would not want to get it that way. Most times, being struck my lightening can be avoided by taking certain safety precausions such as, staying away from water,(indoor and out)not using corded telephones, by stay away from windows, and not lying on concrete floors (this is because lightening can travel through concrete for up to 10 miles. So it is a good idea to no walk on sidewalk either. So, yes, you can survie being struck my lightening and come out with come good or bad results.

That's ridiculously amazing! Ironically, it's like he's so thankful that he was hit by lightning that because of the lightning, he has now some extra abilities. Well, as far as I know, there hasn't been recent studies pertaining to this kind of events yet that implies any probabilities. Or perhaps, it was really his talent that was just activated because of the effect made by that nature's discretion. Nevertheless, let's just be thankful for he's still alive and hope that there would be no other accompanied implications brought about.

I think this is like once in a lifetime thing, I wouldn't want lightning to strike me hoping that I'll have a special power.. But he was so lucky that he has survived a lightning strike and having something special added to him.. He'd be a genius and hope he does something great with his gift! Thanks for sharing this news!

I don't think people are struck directly by lightning, i mean like the lightning bolt striking right upon one's head. He must have been contact with some tall metal rod or some tower which happened to be struck upon by lightning and which affected him too. I don't think anyone can survive if the lightning strikes them directly on the head. That is so many kilowatts of power.

That does sound like a really interesting and fascinating story. I have heard reports on the news about people being struck by lightning and surviving. It must be really neat to have such an improved memory because of it. But i think surviving a lightning strike is still rare so I will try to avoid it when I can still.

I think it is amazing to hear of how someone was struck by lightning and survived. The trauma that must happen to both mind and body are mind blowing. I can not imagine what must go through a person's mind when they realize they have been struck by lightning. I wonder if they have fear of lightning after that or a greater appreciation for the forces of nature.

That's a miracle! The person is so lucky to acquire new ability after being struck by the lightning. May be in future, science discovery will reveal how electrical shock could help to improve our memory .
