Which place in the world would you like to go to see that has lots of wildlife? When I was in my mid twenties I went on a safari and saw animals like lions, giraffes, elephants and rhinos. It was fascinating to meet the Masai Mara tribe. Australia is a lovely place to see unusual wildlife like koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. I went to Kangaroo Island when I was 20 years old. There I saw penguins and seals as well as friendly kangaroos. New Zealand is superb for animals like penguins of different types. I have also seen a type of penguin in South Africa.

I grew up in Alaska. That is where i would want to go to see wildlife. Moose, elk, and caribou would be so exciting to see in their own habitats. Bears would be great too, as long as i was at a distance. i would like to see the wildlife, not be their main course!

Wow! It must have been wonderful for you to grow up in Alaska. Yes, to see bears at a distance must be fascinating but at close range would be terrifying. I would like to see them and the moose, elk and caribou.

I'd love to go on a safari in Africa at some point, I'd really like to see elephants etc in the wild. I went to Kangaroo island too, but we came to late in the evening and missed the penguin tour. We might have been at the same beach though, did you go with a guide down to a beach where the seals come ashore to rest? I like bird-watching so I like all the little islands out in the North Sea. A friend of mine is going to Edinburgh for a year to study, we're planning to travel a bit around in May next year and see the islands we haven't been to yet, possibly revisit Shetland and Orkney. Lots of nice birds to watch.

One of the times we saw the elephants I think we went a bit too close to them. They got cross and we backed away slowly. I found it lovely to watch the baby elephant walk next to her mother on a different day. I hope that you get to see wild elephants. At Penneshaw I went for a penguin talk and then we walked to an area to see them. It was such an amazing experience and few other travelers were there. I joined a two day backpackers tour of Kangaroo Island. The guide took us to a beach where the seals were on the beach. It is a good idea for you to see the birds in the North Sea. A couple of years I went on a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands. I was rich bird life and it was amazing.

I'm pretty sure that must be the same beach, at least I only saw one beach you could go down to. My friend had for some reason only brought slippers, and she really struggled in the sand. We got really close to some of them, and when we walked up we had to take a long break in the bushes because a gigantic male was sitting in the middle of the path, resting before he climbed the rest of the hill. I love watching seals, they always seem to watch back. Checked the Farne islands in Wikipedia, that looks just like my place! I might drop the "plunder Lindisfarne" part though, that's been done already.

Sealion - Picture of a sealion taken in the central coast in Chile, near Santiago, the capital. They feed from the leftovers given to them by fishermen when they clean their catch to send to the city.
I´d love to go to a safari in Africa. It´s very expensive for me so I´m afraid I will not be able to do it. But as I have gone to so many places I never thought I would go to, I just might get there some time. We have pinguins in my country. A long time ago I thought that they only lived in the very south but now I have seen them even in the north. We also have sealions. I´ll send a picture I took in the coast near Santiago of a sealion. The sealion is mimetized with the rocks nearby. Hug friend!

Thanks for the photos of the sea lions. It is amazing that you have penguins in your home country. I have seen them in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. I hope that you will be able to visit Africa but I realize it would be an expensive flight for you. Sometimes many flight changes are necessary. I send you a hug my dear friend. I hope that you will have an excellent time on your forthcoming trip.

I just thought it would be in Africa but by the way you described it it would be cool to visit Australia and see what kind of wildlife they have roaming around. I just like to see wildlife in my own little neighborhood but they aren't all that rare. I just like to see wildlife on the Nature shows and dvds for now.

I would like to go to Kenya and Madagascar for a safari experience. One of my friends had an interesting stay there. In the meantime, I will settle for the Calauit Safari Island in Palawan. There you can see giraffes, zebras, mouse deers, impalas, gazelles, bushbacks, waterbucks, bear cats roaming freely....

I have seen all of those wild animals in Australia many times over the years. When I was in the USA, I was fascinated with the different types of wild critters that I saw there, Squirrels and raccoons were amazing to me as we do not have them. I did not get to see any bears although I did see evidence of them as well as coyote tracks. I would have loved to have seen those in the wild in real life. If I was to pick one destination purely for it's wildlife, then I would have to choose Africa as those animals that are found there are amazing and becoming endangered. I would love to see elephants, Rhinos, zebras, tigers and lions, etc, in their natural environment. It would be incredible.

if only to see wildlife, I don't need to go abroad. enough visit a safari park in Bogor - Indonesia. That's enough far fun because we can see wildlife in all activities them. They roam free, not locked up like the one at the zoo
