You earn for what you type - end of. It's all there in the guidelines, if only you took the time to read them. As more experienced users than me have already told you, if your discussions and responses are within the guidelines, you'll earn from them. If not, you won't. Easy, isn't it?

The number is your total number of posts. All the answers you're looking for are in the guidelines, so please read them. If you start discussions about topics that are covered by the guidelines and FAQs, they will be deleted.

I am new to Mylot, and tried to find the answer to this question, but couldn't, so here it is: what is/are the difference(s) between comments and respond to discussion? I am trying to make sure I follow the rules, so all guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

So does the (28) next to my name refer to discussions, comments, or both? And why do I get email notifications about responses but not comments?

although this is my second week in myot this subject is not clear for me. when i starte dcounting how much money made in a day mylot always gave me more. as i read somewhere if you start a good conversation they going to reward you. also if you use the mylot search you going to be rewarded. i got my reward 2. but i don't know that was for my discussions or my search?!

At the risk of sounding stupid, how do you search on myLot itself? I can (obviously) find how to search from MyLot to the web, but haven't figured out hos to search on myLot itself for topics, previously covered discussions, etc. That's why I have added so many interests--not because I thought that would make me more money (I know it doesn't, at least not directly) but so I could find topics/interests/discussions more easily. I am sure there is a faster way but I can't seem to find it :-(. Thanks!

Mylot did not actually disclose the formula on how we exactly earn here, how much each action costs. What it wanted us to do is to be more active here-creating discussions, responding to them, and commenting too. With all these activities we will earn the reward we deserve.

I think you should read the FAQs again. It's clearly explained in http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14. Your earning depend on quality of your post, no matter what kind of post you made. You will earn the same amount by start discussions, respond to discussions and comment on responses. So, you should comment on every responses you got, otherwise you won't earn good enough from your discussions. Now, come on! Comment on responses you've got for this discussions in order to earn more!

You earn the same for anything you do. Commenting, responding to discussions, and starting your own discussions are all activities you will earn for here. There aren't any that pay more than others. You could be someone who has never posted a discussion in your time here, but you would still be earning as much as anyone else as long as your as active as they are.

I'm not quite sure, but one thing I know is that if you create a discussion, and lots of people respond to it, that will get you earning more.
TIP: Respond and Comment to your own discussions if you have lots of responses from others.

Just to clarify: you ONLY earn if you comment on those responses.
YOU do not earn for them. Those who post them do.
