Forgive and forget?

I had some sort of misunderstanding with someone months ago, the person threw false accusations not only to me but also to my husband. I'm most deeply hurt because he's a close relative. Haven't talked to him since the incident and now that the holidays are only months away, I'm sad that I won't be able to go to our annual family Christmas lunch because he will definitely be there. Will I be able to forgive and forget?......

Hu chubbie, That's a decision that only you can make but I would not let him stop me from going the family Christmas lunch. Forgiving isn't easy and forgetting may be even more difficult but it is important and usually does come with time. By all means smile and be polite to him, you will enjoy your lunch more and perhaps he may be ready to apologize if given an opening. Blessings.
