i think many of us watched this kind of reactions, they would prefer a boy over a girl and they are dissapoited if the child gender is differetn as they wanted. in most cases our husbands want boys. i really can't understand them why. the boy always prefer their mother, they all are mom's boy. when i found out thati'm wxpecting i was realy curious what will be, i just wanted to know. i didn't cared that it's a boy or a girl as long is healthy. not my husband. he really i mean realy wanted a boy. he even started collecting cars for him. but many father admit after her daughter is borned that they wouldn't change them for a boy. so why is this reaction. how reacted your husband, family when you found out th gender of your child?

Hi mabey1.. I'm a husband.. when my wife was pregnant, it did not a matter to me whether the baby would be a boy or a girl, so did my wife. I just pray that the mother and the baby is born with a safe and healthy. Now I'm a father with 2 children, the first is a boy, and the second is a girl, I'm very grateful that I have both a boy and a girl. I love my kids, both my boy and daughter.

Some times we have to be careful what we wish for, as in the baby case we get the opposite. I am with you on the fact as long as the baby is healthy that is all that matters. I guess on the bright side there is always yet another chance to try for yet another gender.

I didn't mind the gender of my first baby. My ex-husband was hoping for a girl and he had the name lined up. However I had a baby boy and then we argued about names. When I was pregnant for the second time I hoped for girl but a gender scan showed I was having a boy. It took me two days to get used to that idea. I felt desperately sad because I wondered if I would ever get a daughter. Then at 36 weeks pregnancy I found out I was expecting a disabled baby. I was told he had got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I was offered an abortion and I said no way. My second son was born and adored him. In my third pregnancy I didn't dare hope that I was having a girl. I went for scans at the fetal medicine unit and they let me know I was having a baby girl. Wow! They were right and she completes my family perfectly. If I had been pregnant with a third boy then due to my second son's inability to walk I wouldn't have been able to try again for fourth time. I am pleased that that I had girl as my third baby. My sons are 15 and 3 and my daughter is 1.

congratulations on your beautiful family. i know a family where the fatherwas so diperatly wants a girl that he has about 6 or seven boys. he said that he wont stop till he has a girl. i'm not against having more than one child but this seams a little bit to much for me. sometimes i just can't undertsand men why can't they just be happy that they going to have a baby regardless the gender.
