Many vegetarians believe that factory farming is a cruel and unnecessary practice and that our diets would be healthier if we ate less meat. Do you agree?

I am not a vegetarian but I do believe that factory farming is cruel. There is no reason on earth why any animal should have to live in those conditions. I've seen some of the specials on TV and it's horrific how those poor animals are treated.
