According to reseach and readingd from wikipedias article I have read on this topic...Universally, China has the highest active troops of over 2.3million...US with 1.4 million and Russia 1.2 million active troops.
There has been no full display of military might after small proxy wars between US and Russia since World War 2. Going by military performance, there is no real way to judge. However, we can say in my opinion on findings:
US- better weapons, better trained.
Russia-large Nuclear stockpile
China- Large millitary army, but no one knows their capabilities though lackluster navy.
I need more info on this topic aswell...anyone wanna try?

China and India are heavily populated countries, so they have more man power accordingly more troops..

Russia right now is stronger than China. China is controlled by Russia in a way. But in the future, who knows what will happen. China is more of a follower. I don't know if they'll ever really have their own power.

I think Russia is a stronger country..
Because they are formed in between two continents Asia and Europe..
They have a large boundary scope and a massive land which could be used for many purposes..
So capturing their entire country is highly impossible..
China is strong in its troops with a big population and with massive Kung Fu techniques..

I think it should be Russia because the record breaking 2010 event successfully shows that Russia is going to be the strongest country in the world.

China is a sleeping gentle giant who has not really awakened yet.
In terms of current power Russia is on top.
But if you look at the manpower, the financials and the capabilities of the chinese you would think otherwise.
