My dad works in a church and serves in it. And there is a new Priest who is I think an Indian, he's from India. Well that's what I know. Anyway, he speaks english but not very good at Filipino language, BTW I'm from Philippines . Many people who goes to church likes him. And finds his homily nice. And now I'm doing errands for him. I translate parts of the homily he reads from English to Filipino language. And I do it for free. I really don't mind. The Priest is really nice to me and my family. We grew fond of him as time goes by. How about you my fellow mylotters, would you do it for free or not?

Why not? If I have the time and the priest is really nice, then it would be my pleasure to help him. I know some priests and I also know that life can be really tough on them, especially if they are foreigners or assigned in a poor community. Have a nice day!

I think the Priest I'm currently helping out needs help with my country's language. I asked him who teaches him our country's language and he told me no one does. He just reads the bible that is translated to our language and understand it by heart. I guess it is really tough for them at times. Thanks for the response! ^_^

Well as it is a priest, sweetie, i might consider it. I don't mind doing things for people for free, but me and priests do not get along very well. TATA.

Doing errands for anyone be it a priest or not is always a choice that we have to make. As long as you are happy with what you are doing and it's not a hindrance to any of your work then working for free is like your doing volunteer works for your church. There is no right or wrong in what you are doing right now as long as you are enjoying it with all your heart then continue doing it coz i will do the same if i am in your shoes.
