This week after having loads of different people come to see, me aswell as going to the hospital has made me think abit more about what i want in life, not just the things that i have to try todo in life.I am now ok with the idea of never being able to go back to work.which has taken time to come to terms with. All i wanted todo is go to work to have extra money so that we could pay up the mortgage early,so that we could do more and have more things,so that it felt like i was providing for my family. There are more things in life than money and health is a major part.

I want to have a family, this is very important to me. I would also want to have my own business to have more freedom on a day to day basis. Those are the top two things I strive for and really hope to achieve.

I had been thinking of a few things that i could do to earn money, but i am getting tired of trying to find ways of making money.I think that i will stick to just having fun on the internet and if i earn anything than it will be pocket money.I think that life is too short,so trying to make the most of life is what i am going todo.

all i want to do is work, but the doctors have said that there is only about a 10% chance that i'll be well enough to work again, but i'm clinging on to that 10%

I wish they had given me 10%.Mind you i think after soo many consultants have spoken to me now,i have come to terms with not going back to work.At least i know that there is nothing else they can give me,so at least they will not make me feel like i did the other week with that treatment they gave me.

Yes health is important in life. It sometimes seems though that with more money you can pay for better health care. Quitting work was very hard for me also! When I was working at least I felt like I had some purpose. I don't have a family or any pets anymore and sometimes it seems I am just taking up space and costing the government disability money.

I know what you are saying and yes it do make you feel hopeless.I was not prepared to except that i will never go back to work until it was put to me by loads of different people. The thing is i thought the help and treatment that was out there would help me,well they have given me all the treatment and nothing has worked and there is nothing left to try.So now its me and the pc with six children and a husband.Nothing much to look forward to.

I think I would love to travel. I don't think it would mean much if I didn't have my family with me on these trips. I used to wish that I could go back to school, which I did so that dream is fullfilled. Now maybe travel. We are trying to buy a home right now so that is another dream that might come true but I have to wait and see. Oh I almost forgot the dream of having kids, which that is done too because we have five.

I have got 6 children so i have done my bit, lol. All i wanted was to go to work so that we could pay the mortgage early and then just to try to enjoy life with out that worry of paying that one main monthly bill.I find that there are lots of things i could afford if we were paying rent rather than paying for a mortgage.

At 70 I would like to travel again.
as my hubbys job took us all over the states but there is still more to see that we didnt get to in the 35 years we traveld for the job.
I have been getting up at 3 int he mornig to take my daughters in laws to work and they start at different times 2 work across the street from one another just have to set for over and hour be for the last one goes to work now we have added a 3 one that stats at 5 in the morning across town from the other 2 Gonna have to figure that one out later.
I Was asked by someone last night hadnt I retired yet. I said yes a long time a go and they said I should be resting and let others wait on me. My daughter pipes up and says oh she gets lots of rest . how does she know she isnt up at 2 in the morning cause I cant sleep for thinking I would over sleep if I went back to bed,
SO Sorry you cant work any more but now you can do other things and I am sure you will find things to keep ya busy.

YEah, indeed!! Life is not just about making money!! HEalth is the most important thing of all.. without health, we wont be able to do anything at all, much more earning money.. hehe ^_^
BUt of course, life is not all about having fun either.. One has got to have goals, and be on the constant upgrade for themselves.. IF for ple like u, who's movements are restricted, but as long as one stay knowledgeable, knowing all about the outside happenings, it will make oneself feel equally useful too ^_^

Where is time for all things under heaven. You can only do the best you can. Being home with the kids is important. Getting well is important. Doing what needs to be done needs to be priority and anyway we can dream and so forth but things never turn out just as we thing they will.

I too have had to deal with not being able to work any more. I am older but still I've worked all my life and tho you are right, there are more important things in life than money, it sure helps.
We just have to learn to live on what we make.

There are a lot of things that I want to do in my life. The most important thing that I want to do is to always be there for my family. I am able to do this right now, and though it makes it difficult at times to make ends meet, it is also such a rewarding position to hold in my life. In addition to that, I want to be completely out of debt. This isn't something that is going to be easy for us, but it is something that I really want to be able to do.

Telling people your plans decreases your chances of achieving it-- Or so I discovered..You'll be to much conscious that people are hoping and looking up to you and mistakes will come from all corners.
But sharing a Dream-- giving a little description like: "I want to be rich"-- is a way of showing people that you are just thinking for today..
I warn don't share all your dreams with everybody-- mostly you deep desires e.g "I want to create a Car that runs on Tequila" They'll look you as stupid and make you fail sometimes trying to help you.... Just a thought though?!

There are many things that I want to do in life. I started to list it down when I got to watch the movie, "The Bucket List". I found out that on top of it all, I want to have time to teach the children and impart to them the things and learnings I have. The second one is to travel at least the beautiful places in our country and take pictures of nature, sunset and the beach. However, you cannot exclude making money because most of the things we want in life involve money. But you are right, there are more important things in life than money itself.

Hey jugs, I think health is the most important thing in life and we should all do whatever it takes to get and keep good health and therefore be happy. But think of it this way, now your husband can get the self esteem a GUY gets from working hard and supporting his family. This might improve your relationship with your hubby, not suggesting that any improvement is needed, as you have said before you have a very nice one.

hijugsjugs all I w ant to do is write my autobiography and hopefully
get it published.this is my one passion in my senior years. I think
maybe I could really write a great book as I have lived a long life
and had much happen to me.My health will not prevent me from writing
from my heart which is what I must do.

I want a good career that pays well - enough for a roof over my head but I want to enjoy my career as that's more important. I also want to help people less fortunate than me not by donating but by doing something more active like volunteering abroad. I want to make some real friends and look after my parents when they're old, I don't want them to live in a care home I'd rather they lived with me so at least I know how they are treated. I don't want any kids or a wife but I don't mind having a life partner/girlfriend :D

Well I've got clear picture of what I want so it's easier for me because I have a goal to reach. My biggest dream is helping out people in my country(Kosova) and then going in Africa. The only reason why I would like to go in AFRICA is because I really want to help poor people and not just by Words saying " OMG THEY ARE POOR WHAT CAN I DO,I WILL JOIN A GROUP ON FACEBOOK AND HELP THEM" well I want more I want to be part of that experience so then I know that I did something and maybe saved a life. The other thing about job,I would like to work in unicef so I would have a chance of helping kids and all the people who are in need of the most valuable thing "LIFE".And I agree for the thing that you said There are more things in life than money. Is good to have because when you have the money,YOU HAVE THE POWER,but money dosen't buy love and happiness which most of the people seek out for it.
