I've been following the england vs pakistan test match...came across an interesting statistics on the number of dropped catches. 9 catches dropped by pakistan and 2 by england...wow 9 catches missed by pak...thats a huge number by international standards...it means they has 19 wickets (10 actual + 9 dropped)...bowlers might be thinking of getting them bowled or lbw so that their efforts are not wasted. Wonder who holds the record though (funny side of cricket...keeps the interest going)

9 catches dropped by whole of the Pakistani team is no match for Kamran Akmal's recent showing of 6 catches dropped on his own against Australia. :) In fact, the match that they won against Australia was one in which they did not drop catches and then went on to win. I think Pakistani team is poor in fielding and batting and thus is wasting such a good bowling line up.
Cheers!

absolutely true..they have the best bowling line up ....but not backed by fielding and even to an extent by batting...otherwise who knows they might be the top team to beat

i too watched that test match. its poor to see a side which beat australia is struggling. Pakistan already has match fixing problem against aussies. Now this many catches dropped makes the world to think again about match fixing. it is really hard to believe a top side dropping so many catches.

One day A cricket team will be going to make a record of dropping catches. Records are good to make but negative records will ruins the reputation of a team.
