Me and my girl friend just got an ipod that we are planing to share. we have very different tastes in music. is there a way to split the memory in half and have separate libraries? do we need to just have one of us make our own playlist and use that to listen our own music? any suggestions? thanx

yep the best way is to have each own sets of playlists. i.e. boy jazz or girl jazz, boy rock or girl rock.

I was going to suggest the same. Have her make her playlists and name it what she wants..and you make yours...that way you both have your own library so to speak on your ipod. My ipod is broken down what I like doing while listening to that particular playlist...like Driving mix, or cleaning mix. In your case you can just name each your first initials then driving mix...etc.

I'm using smart playlist, I'm just tagging every songs on iTunes to make the lists of playlist automatically. In that way I can easily choose the groups of playlist accordingly to my mood.
