Why Do Some People Do Not Use Their Picture As The Profile Picture In FaceBook??

Privacy. I've never had my picture online and I never will. I've different avatars over the years, but now I stick with just one so that people will recognize me from one site to another. I also never give true personal information about myself. If things like birthdate and location are required by the site, I falsify them. I give hackers and identity thieves as little information as possible. It's not 100% foolproof, but I know I'm not the only person who tries to keep their privacy when they're on the web.

I don't think my picture will be stolen anyways but I'm just lazy i guess. Beside since my face book account is public and i was tagged numerous times my picture is all over face book anyways.. nowhere to hide my face.

Plain and simple, I don't do it because I don't like how my pictures come out. I've tried taking pictures of myself but am never satisfied.

I have also raised this question in my earlier discussions before.. I personally think, that by borrowing great photos can boost their face value or pimp out friends. Its usually the first impressions that really lasts..

One reason could be that many pictures from profiles are stolen and than used on fake accounts all over Internet. I know people with such problems and that's why now they don't use their personal photos, but something more abstract.
