The last book I have read was the twilight saga 4th book Breaking Dawn. I was really fascinated with that book because of course it was the last from the saga and it has the most of the details and happenings and endings of the series. It is the part in which Bella has finally turned into a powerful vampire, illustrated from the cover itself, that at first she started as the weakest but then finished as the strongest.. and as a reader I would highly recommend the book Breaking Dawn to satisfy your curiousity on what's to happen next after the blockbuster Eclipse movie.

I read a Jeanette Winterson book called “The Battle for the Sun”. I think it was actually meant to be the sequel to “Tanglewreck” but you can read it on its own without not understanding any of the story. I love Jeanette Winterson’s adult fiction, so I thought I’d try one of her children’s books. It was wonderful; I couldn’t put it down. It was so magical and eloquent, it really was wonderful and I’m urging my partner to read it because I think he’ll love it too. It’s a fantasy novel.

i read that one too. i really liked the twilight saga. i love it way more than i like the movie series. anyway, the latest book that i have read is the fourth book from another series, percy jackson and the olympians. the fourth one is called the battle of the labyrinth. i also love this series even though it is not as romantic as twilight. i love how rick riordan fused greek mythology in the present time. it is well-written and it just keeps you hooked to it. the first installment of the series was made into a movie already. i actually watched it first before i read it but after reading the series, i have come to love the books more. the movie was so much different, they even happened at different times of percy's life. the books are way better.

Yes usually I learn to like the books rather than the movies itself.. I think because the book contains the complete information and scenes, and once you have watched it on the movie, you always find the movie a little short and lacking some scenes.. The book also lets us fully understand everything that is bound to happen in a movie. Every mystery is unfolded, and every scenes gives meaning to the story.. I wish I could get the Percy Jackson book sooner.. Thanks and happy myLotting!

Hi allamgirl, Thanks for responding.. I'm glad you also liked the Twilight Saga..I like the Percy JAckson but I haven't had the chance to read the book.. I see it on bookstores together with its series books..If I did have the chance I'll get a copy of those because I wanna learn more about Greek mythology and I wanna know how different the movie was with the film I saw.. Thank you for recommending that book..

I just finished The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan, the writer of the Percy jackson series. I highly recommend it to those who love action/adventure stories. I'm almost finished with The Book Thief by Mark Zusak. It's a story about a family back in the Nazi times. It's a compelling story. I recommend it too.

Thanks for responding juryse.. I liked Percy Jackson, and since The Red Pyramid was written by the same writer, I think it is also wonderful. Thanks for recommending it..Is the Book Thief a drama story?

Hey, I'd recommend any book by Franz Kafka. So far, I've read the Castle and the Trial and I have to say that it is interesting and you can read it quite fast. The way they are written is as if it is a dream - some things appear to be illogical, nonsense, just like in a dream, and you will understand the true essence of the book after you read it.

I read Don de Lillo's The Body Artist. A modern ghost story, as well as a story of loss and grieving, but also of the cadences of everyday life - the rhythms, the aporias, the banalities, the hauntings. Very moving and thought provoking at the same time.

It is beautifully written, and quite a short book, but not a 'small' book, if you know what I mean.

Bill Bryson - A Short History of Nearly Everything Bill is a funny, witty travel author who has traveled to many countries and written tales. But in this book he talks about the beginning of life on Earth and it felt like all my science lessons in school put together in a book for adults, so if you feel you are a bit rusty or actually want to know more in depth about what our Earth is about, where it all came from, what we have disovered so far and what we haven't, I really recommend it, it blew my mind! It's quite scientific but worth it. I got it as a present from someone as I had mentioned I wanted to read it about 6 months prior and when I got it I was totally chuffed cos I didn't even have to make the effort to go and buy it or get it from the library. The Twilight series is ok, I find the English writing very simple but she has a good knack for creating moods and characters. I actually prefer the films for once.

Hi Neriah, Thanks for your response to this discussion..Yup I would also prefer the films of course but on the film, lots of information wasn't shown..And yes the writing may be very simple..but it has captured many fans..and it means the series is nice..simple but very addictive..well that's for my own opinion. And I think the book you wrote about is very interesting.I hope I could get one of that.

I've recently finished The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.I would really recommend it to all because it is really enlightening. It gave me inspiration and motivation to stay positive in life and there's nothing that can't be accomplished if we just have the firm believe and faith that all these impossible will be possible. It taught me the value of not lingering on the negative things in life because such negative thoughts will attract negative events thus i learned that staying positive and just thinking about all positive things will bring forth positive events. This book is similar with Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist . If you believe it then all things in the universe will conspire to make it happen.
