Well, I know it's too early to discuss this. But I really want to know what others are thinking about this. Ok, let me come to the point.
Who is going to replace Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman after their retirement in test cricket?
The options available are Yuvraj Singh, Pujara, Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina.
Pujara would be a perfect replacement for Rahul Dravid. He was considered another Wall in the making. But it's sad that he is not given a chance yet.
What do you guys think?

Yes, Pujara can replace atleast Laxman, m not sure if he would be able to replace Dravid. Replacing Sachin would very very tough. Yuvraj has talent but he does not have focus. Kohli and Rohit both of them lack in both talent and focus. I have heard a lot about Pujara, no idea why still he hasnt got a chance in test team. Suresh Raina is a very good talent and after his performance we can say, he can replace Ganguly in team. Also, Gautam Gambhir can be a replacement for either Dravid or Laxman. He has performed well in past and he is consistent in all three formats of the game.

Kohli and Rohit are very talented. They haven't been given a chance. But, Rohit Sharma needs a lot of focus as you said. He plays irresponsibly and gets out to very bad balls in limited overs format. Kohli is a very good player.
I'm very eager to watch Pujara in tests :)

Remember Ganguly!! We are still struggling to fill the spot vacated by him. Hopefully after this series Raina has taken over that spot, though his real test would be on bouncy pitches. So thinking for replacements for Laxman, Dravid and Sachin is a very big task which will take time. I think these players would be around for another two years, but hope that they retire with some gap in between to allow for their replacement to settle in.
Cheers!

Assuming Ganguly's slot is filled by one of Raina and Yuvraj, It's a real tough task to find the replacement for others. As you said Ram, there should be some gap between the retirement of these players to allow their replacements to settle in.

I thin the next trio will be of SURESH RAINA,VIRAT KOHLI & ROHIT SHARMA as of all these youngsters have proved thier talent in recent ODI matches.
But no1 in this world can ever replace them :)

Raina and yuvraj singh will occupy the space left by ganguly and laxman. Sachin is place hard to replace. while dravid place will be fought between kohli, pujara and even murali Vijay can play one down.

The fab 4 have been there for long. With the retirement of Ganguly they are down to 3 as mentioned..Ganguly's slot is still vacant..not yet cemented by Yuvraj(which he was atleast for a while...but under threat). I think VVS would be next and then Dravid and finally Tendulkar...their palces can be taken by the ones mentioned above minus Kohli with an addition of Murali Vijay though.

Sachin, dravid, laxman these are heavy boots to fill in.Once they decide to hang their boots it will be redevelopment period once again for india.the current lot of youngsters dont ooze much confidence.one player i like to see playing for india is cheteswar pujara.he has been consistently scoring in the domestic season sa well as on the overseas tour.he should be included in the team now so that by the time the seniors retire he would have had enough experience to shoulder the responsibility
