I was driving home today and was terrified, I saw a car crash and the car was on fire I wanted to stop but I didn't want to get hurt so I didn't stop and see if there was anybody in there. Am I stupid or was it ok what I did I really need advice.

Well you could have cause another accident by stopping and yes it would have been good to stop but it wasn't your responsibility. It would have been better to stop though...safely.

Hey if you called 911 then you did all you could do. I mean we all can't be heroes jumping into flames to save somebody.

not stupid, but still you cou ld have pulled over and looked in to see if anyone is there, also why not just use your cell phone and summon help as that way you would have been safe. everyone speeds by bu t someone must stop or anyone in that car could die. The safest and smartest thing to do is use you cell phone to report this emergency at once.I would have got out and checked but thats just me, you had to do what you thought was safest.

Well if you saw the actual crash as it happened here I believe you can get in trouble for not reporting it & or giving a statement. That's why one should always keep their cell handy to call 911 or whatever local authorities to help.

Sometimes its hard to think when you are in a situation like that its scary. You are not stupid it is a good thing that you didn stop, because you could have put yourself in a lot of danger. The good thing is you got on your cell phone and called for help.
