Tips for Time Management.

August 7, 2010 10:57pm CST
I happen not to finish my plate (Resort Complex and Retirement Village) so I have no choice but to pass it incomplete than to have a grade of 5. (1 is the highest grade and comparable to 100, 3 is the passing grade and F stands for FIVE AND FAILED). We are given two weeks to finish the plate but I think i miscalculated my schedule and end up cramming. I am not even expecting to get a grade of 3 for that plate, but I swear that I'll be better in time management this time. Our next plate is "School of the Arts". Just thought of sharing it and I hope you'll give me tips on time management, I badly needed it. :))

I'm not so good myself in time management although I remember a phrase from The Contender. It goes like this: "Plan your work and work your plan." That's it. Knowing how to plan your time wisely is one thing and following it is another. I hope this helps. How's your sweetheart Hex by the way?

You gave me a good laugh! Hahaha I don't have an affair with Hex. But yeah, he is sweet but not to the extent that I will call him sweetheart. And I think he's fine, I'm not hearing any bad news about him. Anyway, I like your comment :) I'll plan my work as early as possible and I definitely have to work on it. So that history won't repeat itself. Haha I still can't get over of what you just said! XD

To add, you must know the word "Prioritize". If you have a long list of tasks to complete, you may need to prioritize and spend more time with some tasks than others. If that chemistry lab is simply more important than that history paper, allot more time to the lab-although be sure to leave yourself a reasonable amount of time for the paper as well. You'll also need to prioritize activities, work, and and any other obligations. An important part of prioritization is to avoid over-committing your time. In order to get the most important tasks completed well, it may be necessary to make fewer obligations to campus organizations, friends, or other drains on your schedule. Learn how to say no. Best of luck! (please rate me) Thank you :)

Honestly, there are times that I think making schedules is not applicable in my tasks. Or maybe I thought of that because there are tons of time that I tried to make schedules but happen not to follow it. But I know that the problem is on me and not with my schedule. As of now, it is very seldom that I attend meetings and workshop in a school organization I'm into. I always say no to my high school friends who wants to chill out. And I lack of sleep. BUT I CAN'T HELP MYSELF WITH THE INTERNET! Well, I think I really have to give myself time limit using the internet. I REALLY HAVE TO LEARN TO PRIORITIZE stuffs.. Thank you for your tip Juneramir :) I appreciated it a lot. :) Enjoy your everyday :)

My Tip would be "Discipline" because its no use having a scheduled activity if you don't follow it. And because I'm late in giving my tip you can use it next time you repeat the said course/subject

Keep a Detailed Calendar It's almost impossible to remember everything you need to do in your head. You need a system to keep track of all your deadlines and obligations-a low-tech desk calendar or weekly planner, a high-tech PDA, Microsoft Outlook, or whatever works best For some students, a time chart is the best solution. As soon as you become aware of a deadline, record it in the calendar, and be sure to look at upcoming dates in the calendar frequently. Be sure to record all other obligations as well, including your work schedule. Hope my tip will help you. Have a nice day!
