You have to weigh your options and your current status. As for myself when I was employed I thought of leaving when I was about 4 months in my old company since I experienced how horrible my team and boss treat newcomers. I do overtimes (without pay) and won't let us go home until they say so despite not doing anything but sit and wait until they are finished with whatever they do. Forced us to go to work even if it is christmas break at no pay as well and the most painful is how painful they degrade us with their unending litany. I planned to resign and waited until 6 months, then 1 year but I was not able to do so. I did not have the guts to tell you the truth. Until my 2nd year came and I had the courage to finally file my resignation. In the end it is all up to you, you may apply while you're still employed and file once you have a company to transfer to or whatever works for you. As for me I just did not want to be one of those people who wanted to leave but never had the courage too and spent the rest of years wasting my time and working in a place I no longer am happy.

Hey Deepak, True that there are many reasons why one would want to quit the job. I have been unlucky many a times though. I wished to quit but something or the other just didnt fall in place. Maybe I was passionate about what I was doing and this was one of the major factors that despite being paid less and working extra hours was acceptable. But with time and responsibilities, one has to make certain modifications and changes. I have worked simultaneously for a few organizations earlier. But now due to my ill health, I have to stay at home and so I have started my own online work and some offline work too. So now it is basically that I am not attached with any organization.

As of right now nothing is pushing me to resign. But a couple of months ago something is pushing me, but its just hard to find a job nowadays and I consider myself lucky on my job right now. Maybe having options will give you the decision for resignation. But as long its fine suck it up.

I just resigned 2 days ago with no other real options but I work customer service and my husband had just been fired from the same place and I was totally stressed and felt like I was starting to give my customers attitude back and I just realized it was time to go. I think if your mentality is against your employer or customers it's really not fair to them if you stay. If you can stay and do your job well definitely better to have a replacement lined up.
