Is there anything to live for when you get older and are alone?

Don`t give up! Move in the other side of the country and live your life beside your familly! At 56 years you are not old, you cand make lots of things! Take care and have a good time, you deserve it !!

Getting old doesn´t mean you´re getting alone... As long the people you love living in your hearth i´ll say you´ll never alone wherever you are

For most indian family this is not appropriate question. The Older people get a lot of respect from children and grand children. Older people also get love and affection. Except in a few cases (where older ones are put in home for aged), most of them live with son's or daughter's or grand children's house enjoying the twilight of their life. They will be doing some household chores, read newspapers, watch TV, talking to relatives and friends etc.

Are you "disabled and poor" or have you used this phrase about your kids and grandkids ? Are you physically fit to involve in tree plantation type of tasks ? I shalllike to add more if you respond .

Hi. so nice to meet you. You have so much to live for. yourself, number one, and then your family. I have had a rough two years. i am 51 years old and made the right choice by moving in with my mother who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and i thank god everyday that i am able to take care of her, and that she is here for me to get worn out, no sleep, gave up my job, and not to mention my life for. your family will be there for you, if not, try to get involved with social outings, and meet people. there is free help out there.
