A man but with a woman profile picture

well...sometimes they do it because they really adore the lady in the picture that they have.. and sometimes its because they are in a relationship with the said lady in the picture. sometimes there are those who put it up as a way to remember the lady in the picture, who may have been one of their most dearest friends or loved one. and then there are those who put up a picture of a movie star or a personality that they like a lot.. there are many many reasons for someone to put up a picture like that in as their profile picture, and all of those reasons are personal to them. and then there are those people out there who get annoyed by people who don't put up their own photos as their profile picture. or never put up any picture at all. or just put up a picture of a scenery with some trees... to me, it's all a matter of preference, and i respect that. the only thing important to me is that the user has substance to his or her discussions and is able to put their message across to others in a good way..be it humorous or serious, or even just plain informative and descriptive... it's what makes all of us unique

me, too. i also don't like it esp those that put very seductive poses of women but they're actually men.

Hi IP So finally there is someone who thinks like me and feels annoyed when he finds a man setting his profile picture to that of a woman. I have come across more bizarre things than this one. I have met men who say they are females on their profiles! I have even found children (below 10) logging into sites that need them to be at least 18 yrs. old. Welcome to Internet. That is why Internet is popular. It allows you to do things that otherwise you could never have thought were possible.... Seriously speaking, These people are having conflicting personalities and are still unclear about what they should be doing to make things better. Such people must be banned by the Site Admins or the moderators. But that is not quite easy. These people think to make more friends because they would be taken as females by those who just look into the Avataars and go by them. A pervert feels the world too is a pervert like him/her.

Yeah I don't get it either. I mean I understand the marketing gimmicks but on myLot profile I just don't get it. I have viewed some friend profiles and clearly it says male and age but the pic is of a women. Go figure different strokes for different strokes I suppose.

Thare are lots of people doing this. i can call them cowards. they have no guts to show their faces. I have seen lots of profiles on orkut & facebook.

I could think of two possible reasons. First, putting a female picture will allow them to gather more friends especially if the lady in the picture is beautiful. Second, these guys wanted to play game so they will know who easily gets fooled by a picture. ^^

Profiles with women get more visits and thus marketing-wise it's a better thing to do. A lot of facebook marketeers will tell you that.

hey they feel gender-inferiority ... he he he :P they just wanna make their profile merrier so girls and boys check theere profile and mayb talk to them . .they are lame gibberish ways to grabbing attentions... and also they are ultimate desperate for girls in their life in my point of view :P
