In the early morning of July 28,1976,the northern Chinese city of Tangshan is flattened by an earthquake that measures 7.8 on the Richter scale. The disaster kills more than 240,000 residents.I heard the film is so touching.but I haven't seen it yet.Have you ever seen it? I would not see it. I donĀ“t like earthquakes and my country had had the worst earthquakes ever recorded. Just a few months ago, we had an 8.8 Richter earthquake here, tsunami included.
Fortunatly the loss of human lives wasnot as terrible as it has been on other countries but the economic disaster was huge and it will take us years to rebuild.

No Noodleboy, I haven't seen it. Is it a Hollywood or a Hongkong movie?
The title is quite catchy but to be honest, I really do not like watching these disaster movies.
Basically movies are for me, a few hours of escape from the rat race. But these movies remind me that I'm not safe even if I free myself from the rat race. There are also assumptions I have not made like natural calamities.
But each to his own, I guess! Hope you enjoy 'Future Shock'as much as I enjoyed "The Matrix" or "The Flintstones" or "Transporter 3".
