Man Utd wins the Charity Shield

Yippee! As a Man Utd fan, I have had a quiet confidence about this season and think it has been confirmed today - early days I know. Hernandez looks a great signing. And I think a few young players are about to break through. It is something that there does not seem to be time for anymore, which is a shame. Nani is coming good, Gibson looks like he might be a competent squad player, Cleverly and Macheda look like they might make an impact. I would love to see Ozil arrive. Rooney, Hernandez and Ozil and we could have that fluid attacking system that was so good a couple of years ago. Chelsea might be just having a slow start, but I think players like Terry and Lampard might struggle this season.

Yeah...man u won the game and very comprehensively...i'm a fan of both the teams...with a slight advantage over man u. It was a good performance, chelsea were lacking the spark though they played good but not good enough...Waiting for the season to start.

Yes, Man U have fired the first salvo this season by winning the Community Shield. But what was a bit concerting for Man U was that their stand out player for the match was Scholes and not any of the younger players. Not sure if Scholes will have the legs to play all the matches this season, so someone else needs to step up in the midfield. Hernandez scored on his competitive debut in England, but it was a clumsy goal at best. Chelsea were good in their attack, but poor in their finishing and that cost them the match!! Cheers! Ram

Yes , i was so badly waiting for the season to begin after the world cup was over. It was an awesome world cup with lots and lots of shocks. Hope the English premiere league also have some big shocks. Great to see my favorite team win the community shield. Hopefully they will win the league also. Hernandez showed that he can play well with berbatov. Hope he can play well with rooney alongside. Happy Mylotting!!!!

ya, MU is more prepared than chelsea in this cup...javier hernandez is great players too...he can show to sir alex that he is deserve in MU...berba began to score again..maybe this is a good signing for berba to show that he is one of the best forwrd in EPL

Man Utd still have a chance to be a champion this season.But we can't neglect Chelsea for that. Maybe Chelsea have a good strategy to fix their fault.Honestly i prefer Chelsea than Man Utd.

That is a good way to start off the season. Although i am not a man utd fan, I think they deserved the win.
