I received 3 notification yesterday and today saying that the comment I posted was deleted because the discussion I responded to has been deleted. I want to know who deletes discussions and why? I know that myLot has the right to delete posts that violates rules but I don't recall those questions having violations. Too bad, I couldn't go back to the original post to see what went wrong. Do I get credits for the comments that have been deleted?

The Mylot administration deletes discussions. Most of the deletions are due to violations of the user agreement. For instance, if a discussion starts off with the original poster including a referral link, the whole discussion will get deleted because posting referral links in the discussions is a violation. Discussions bad-mouthing Mylot, others sites, and those involving name-calling are also very likely to get deleted.
Sorry, but you do not get paid for your activity on discussions that get deleted.
After you are here awhile, you will start to get some idea of what discussions are going to be deleted. And you will be like most of us, you will not respond to them unless you really want to tell someone something (occasionally, it is more important to tell someone something than it is to get paid---or at least, in my universe, that is true).

The discussion I responded to was not violating any rules, I think. But it's good to know that this normally happens here and it's not because i did something wrong.
There was another discussion started by a Spanish myLotter. It was all done in Spanish. I know that that discussion will never be on the air long but I responded anyway just to let the person know that he can't use any other language other than English.
thanks for your response. I appreciate your input.

The web administrator deleted the post thats what they do when they notice a post that they feel is violating a rule.
I know it dosent feel great when your post gets deleted, and sometimes you dont know for sure what went wrong but at least they send notifications now that let us know what topic we responded to that got deleted I'm grateful for the notifications even though they mean somthing got deleted.

Well I have responded to many discussions and then saw that the discussion had been deleted due to a discussion guideline violation. Thats kind of frustrating taking the time to comment only to have your response delete when the discussion is deleted. I dont comment on discussions if I believe that they will be deleted because its a waste of my time. so when a discussion is deleted I am surprised because I cant figure out why it was deleted. Now I think I realize they must have been poll type questions.

Admin did it. Admin will delete all violated guidelines discussions whether they were reported by other member or not. If the discussions were deleted then all the responses under the deleted discussions will be deleted as well. We won't earn if our post deleted that's why our earning in mylot may fluctuate. We should think carefully before respond to discussions. We have to consider the discussions whether they violating guidelines or not because our work will be futile if we respond to violated guidelines discussions.
I think you should read this discussion for more explanation why did the admin delete our discussions/responses; http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2373715.aspx?p=1. Mykl did well for this.

@binggaling: May i know what topics you think are usually deleted? The idea of compiling them in one document is brilliant. I will surely do that. Thanks!
