I don't feel tensed talking to our boss, i just feel normal, the same as chatting with my officemates. Luckily our boss is very nice and i think he treats us farely well, so there is really nothing to be worried about when chatting with him... unless if he is kind of not in the mood, well he looks really scary - but that sure rarely happens... :D

I think most people feel tension while talking to a boss(or a teacher) is because they are a higher authority and could really mess you up. They could either get you fired, and make you lose the income for you or your family, or they could get you in serious trouble if you mess up even a little. Though it's very rare this would happen, the idea is still in people's mind and it slightly frightens them.

Hahaha.... yes I felt the same way, just because our boss has the power to fired, demote or promote us. Well, just learn/try to relax. I thank God I'm not working now. Hi sharinglove! ^_^

sometimes, the Boss calls the shots in terms of your performance, etc. which makes your evaluation that will affect the job... that's one way... also, there are cases that we are afraid of our bosses because they are giving you money to work and if you don't do well... you may be afraid to lose the job... There are also cases of the personality of the boss changes and gives all the negative energy to you.. My feeling is nervous in a sense because I don't want to make mistakes in front of him/her and I want to give him/her a good impression that I can work well...
