Do you think love is neccessary to be happy?

Yes love is important for happiness however romantic love is not necessary. As long as there is love and friendship between friends and family that's enough to be happy for me but I guess that's just me and others may feel that romantic love is a must.

When I was younger I didn't have a comitted relationship and I was happy. I travelled a lot and lived abroad and I enjoyed my freedom and my independence. I didn't miss having a relationship, because I had lots of challenges and new experiences and I enjoyed my lifestyle. Today I am married and before that I got married I had a couple of longterm relationships. Today I wouldn't be happy if I went back to my old and independent life, and I know that I would miss all the things that I appreciate about a relationship. But that is my personal opinion, I have friends who have been single for many, many years and who are happy that way, so I think it depends on your pririoties and your lifestyle and your feelings.

I believe you must be happy on your own, with your self or there is no point in seeking a relationship. Some people are meant to be single and they are not meant to be unhappy about it. You must be a complete person on your own, then if a relationship is out there for you it will develop.

yea being in love is like living in a web that goes nowhere a part from love world, hey its a good feeling though that you feels like someone needs you care you..and the same goes loving someone you desire more than your life. when parting the love hurts more than you can imagine, relationship or commitment is like a chain that wont let you go exploring in life. love depends on how you people see it or feel it.

Hello NatashaBird :) I believe that you can be happy without love or relationship in your life. We all have different kind of moments in our life. In my past, the most important for me was my job. My work time started at 9 in the morning, i was there half and hour before the work day start, my work time ended at 7 i was leaving at 8 sometimes. And i was very happy, not because of the payment, what was growing, but because i was usefully and could see the result for all the company i worked. :) It was amazing. Happiness depends from that where you are in your life. :)
