Are you proud to be Indian?

Yes I feel proud to be an Indian. No it is not because of the so-called great personalities - they did nothing but sow the seeds that are responsible for what India is today. 1. Indians in today's India are suppressed and have a lot of tensions but we do not complain. 2. We are a country full of Corrupt Politicians who place themselves first, their party next and then if anything remains, their colleagues. No one cares for the common people. But we do not complain. 3. There is a continuous growth of Naxalites and their attacks make the common man's life miserable but we stay away and dont care. 4. We have the freedom to spit anywhere we want, we have the freedom to piss out anywhere and no one cares. 5. We are rated as having the poorest medical facilities within reach of common man 6. We are ages behind in achieving 100% education 7. We are ages behind in our thoughts - We cannot see anyone prospering and go beyond our capacities to bring his/her downfall but no one complaints. 8. Law and order is miserable and you can read about some place called - Kashmir since independence and we can do nothing 9. Anyone can start a Political Party 10. Anyone can sit on a dharna and coz inconvenience to many Despite all this I hear people yelling - "Mera Bharat Mahaan" and "India Shining" Isnt that Amazing! This is what makes me feel proud that I am an Indian - A person who has no feelings, no emotions, no responsibilities towards making India Better. Can you find other countries providing these facilities and yet boasting this way?

Dear friend, I'm really proud to be an Indian. There are many reasons due to which i feel to be proud as a Indian. India is the cradle of human race, the birthpalce of human speech, the mother of the history, the grandmother of legend & the great grandmother of traditions. If there is one place on the face of the earth where all dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest day when man began the dream of existance, it is India. ALL ABOVE IS JUST THE TIP OF ICEBERG, THE LIST COULD BE ENDLESS. Say Proudly I'm INDIAN

I really don’t know how to answer this…yes, definitely I’m proud of my country, of this great and ancient land. However, right now due to the CWG scam and fiasco, I’m actually very very ashamed to be an Indian…can you imagine how bad our image has become and how we have brought disrepute to the CWG that the Queen herself was forced to comment on our internal issues. Look at how China hosted the Olympics so smoothly, I think Brazil is scheduled to hold the Football World Cup next…these are third world countries too, yet see their dedication and determination to the pride and success of their motherland! We don’t even come anywhere close to them yet we love comparing ourselves to China…bullsh*t I really don’t know how and when it all started but the present situation is such that you cant make any headway without greasing a palm or without pulling a few strings here and there…I hear so many big talks like why don’t we the common people do something about it…but is it really possible for us to do anything out of the system?

Am proud to be an Indian ........ but some time i really feel pity on us...... it is mainly because of the political reasons.... i don't like the political happening here in India..... I think the political parties of India will bring India back.....

Hello, I am really proud to be an INDIAN.India is the second populated country in the world.There are many things which makes me proud.My favorite leader is MAHATMA GANDHI.He was born in the soil of INDIA.He taught people how to be united together.Now INDIA is developing in various fields.The economic growth of INDIA is also improving.India's culture and tradition is the main specialty.Even many food items available in INDIA are not available in other countries.But due to irresponsible citizens and unfaithful ministers ,INDIA is not able to be some of the developed countries among the world.

I am assuming that you mean an Indian from India... rather than a Native American or an American Indian which is what a few of my ancestors are... Cherokee to be exact. I am very proud to be African American and Cherokee Indian!!

I am very proud to be an Indian. India is truly a country which has unity in diversity. Although we have so many religions, castes and languages we are still one. Also India is the only country which accepts everyone and makes them her own. India has been ruled by so many foreign rules and they have all brought their own culture and religion with them. India has absorbed them all and made it into an Indian culture. India is the only country where all are accepted without any reservations
