OH MY GOODNESS! THINGS ARE SO TIGHT FOR ME RIGHT NOW. SCHOOL IS AROUND THE CORNER SO OF COURSE THAT MEANS SCHOOL CLOTHES, SUPPLIES, AND EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDED. I WISH I HAD THE TIME TO DO MORE ONLINE STUFF TO MAKE MONEY BUT I REALLY DON'T. YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE MORE THAN WHAT YOU MAKE OR BRING HOME I SHOULD SAY.
THERE IS AN AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM AT MY JOB THAT IS STARTING UP AGAIN IN OCTOBER. I WORKED FOR THE PROGRAM IN 2008 AND AM GOING TO SEE IF MAYBE I CAN WORK FOR THEM AGAIN BECAUSE THOSE FEW PENNIES CAME IN HANDY.
HOW ARE YOU MANAGING FINANCIALLY? DO YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE JOB? PLEASE SHARE. GOD BLESS!

I know what you mean. We recently paid off (May) our mortgage and were very excited about this. We no longer have that $1200 a month expense but we still can't seem to catch up. Hubby is complaining. I guess the cutback in hours over the last couple of years causing his salary to drop $30,000 is not helping. He still can't support this family on his own and I am doing everything I can online to raise money. I enter contests like crazy. One website has contests where you can win prizes but if you don't like the prize you can cash it in for money. Granted, the dollar amount is small but the money can add up quickly. Check out my review on that at http://webupon.com/web-talk/the-winningest-website-on-the-web/
My youngest daughter is now attending high school. She has to wear a uniform and that cost over $400. Then we went to a soccer tournament out of town and had to spend two nights in a hotel, almost $300. These things aren't helping. Our back to school shopping will be limited to school supplies now, though I'm sure the girls will sneak in some clothes. Fortunately my older daughter is working now and pays for most of her own things. But when she has me with her she will expect me to pay I'm sure.
I wish I could help out more financially. It is frustrating. We have been struggling for 14 years since I developed fibromyalgia and have been unable to work. We thought paying the mortgage off would help. It hasn't yet. Too many expenses, too little money.

Wow! It is rough for so many of us patgalca. I was trying to get my middle son (I am a single mom of 3) a job but it didn't go through. That would have been very helpful to me. I am a praying woman so I am just going to keep the faith and do what I can. Thank you patgalca for sharing your thoughts. Take care and God bless! : )

Ok so for me right now I'm work very very PT so it brings in some money but my husband is the main one supporting us. What has helped us lately get by is coupons. I tried this the other day and I saved about 100-120 bucks in coupons and spent the same amount I would have for groceries any other day. I bought the Sunday paper which you can buy at the dollar store for 1.00 instead of 2.00 anywhere else.
One thing that helped me ALOT when I was in college ( not that long ago BTW...)was my Mary Kay business. I swear I did not hold any outside appointment like going to peoples homes etc ONLY at school like the other students, teachers, and employee's even in the financial aid office! I was living at home and was on financial aid but I still needed MY money! I made anywhere from 600-1000/mo and that was ONLY at school. Now if I did hold outside appointments with groups of people then you have more chances in getting more money. I'm going to tell you right now I'm not the sales type and my customers didn't think so either. They just shopped from me, no obligations. And this is the way shopping should be!
Just some ideas that helped me!. Ive been with Mary Kay for almost 8 years (when I was 18) and I love it and would never give it up. I still do my MK business but PT and it comes in handy when I need some extra money.
One quick story...I was late to school didn't have time to get gas so I was running on empty. Once class was over I realized I didn't have my wallet to get gas so instead what I did was I sold Mary Kay products to new people at school and excisting customers. I sold $100 in 1-2 hours BUT everyone was giving me checks! So I still didn't have cash for gas! So I kept on...I finally got someone to pay cash 40 so now I had 140 in approx 2hrs got my gas and went home! What other job can you do that with? ALSO I didn't tell anyone I needed gas or what my situation was; like I said I'm not the sales type or pushy at all it's just no one carries cash anymore but in the long run it helped me b/c I needed gas money but ended up getting way more money then I though that day (when I wasn't even planning on selling)
Good Luck!

I could use and extra job.. they just cut my hours twice in one month.
But I just make my extra money from just a few online sites.. Here.. Periodically.
Zazzle.. My best paying and most fun site.
Big Crumbs and Pinecone Research. Also a little from esearch, youdata and the TE that I use to promote my zazzle items HBP- they have paid me $18+ bucks so far and I am nearing cash out again. (this is mainly from the cash pages they put in the surf rotation periodically)
If you have a camera or like to take pics or maybe you can draw or do stuff with graphic design.. Zazzle is a cool site.. that you make stuff and post it for sale. you earn commission when it sells. But you can also earn promoting other peoples products.
I am currently awaiting a $50 payment from them from my June sales.. should be in my Paypal any day now. which is good as I have it spent already. :-)

hello! i am a fulltime online worker. i am a freelance writer and i write for 6 academic websites. so far, it has been tough during the last 2 months because of the summer break but the orders are starting to trickle in so i am just holding on. i just finished 2 academic papers yesterday. i also write for other sites like triond and bukisa and 3 more similar sites whenever i can come up with articles, so that counts for passive income. i am also a contractor for odesk and i have been hired with an ongoing contract as a site marketer and as a transcriber. i also transcribe on freelance basis for quicktate as a filler job. i also maintain a website and i write some blogs and post the links to sites i work for whenever i can squeeze in some time. and then again, i also try to browse the net for more writing opportunities which i can either join or post on my site to help other online job seekers.
for online job seekers out there, it's not the end of the world. you can check out my site to give you more ideas on how to earn. just don't give up, and always hold on to that inner strength and determination that we all have.
may God bless us all!

Try to find a site that really fits you specially when you are in school. There are site that offer to become mystery shoppers. What you will do is to go to fast food or bank and rate what quality service that they have.It really helps when I'm still in the Philippines that is one of my source of extra income.

Well, I only have 3 works online. And I've just started last 6 months. I don't have any referrals yet. So it's seems a long way to get to my goal. I also need money real bad. Who doesn't? It's so hard to earn money today. So better start working hard, to earn big.

Hey Linda! I hear ya! I remember when you were working that
program. I guess if you can do it again to make extra money,
what choice do you have? Isn't your oldest son old enough to
be working by now, or shouldn't I ask? I know you really have
your hands full, but aren't the boys old enough to do anything
to help contribute? It's too bad that it has to all fall on
your shoulders! I'm here if you want to talk anytime-you have
my #!

Hi Linda,
Just think, I've been off for months without a paycheck. I have to perplan before leaving for the summer. I am lucky that I don't have to worrry about buying anyone any school clothes. I have decised that I will not go shopping for myself either. Not right away anyway.
I know what parents must be going through, trying to strech every dollar. The school supplies, and the clothes, it is just all too much. We have an before and aftercare program at our school, and believe me many of the staff work there. You are right, every penny helps.
Good Luck

Right now I do not have a regular job. I am doing many different web sites on the internet trying to make some money. I am trying to get social security disability because I have a heart condition that causes my heart to go too fast so I have a lawyer on that for me. My son receives SSI and that is not enough to pay all the bills. We have to apply for HEAP to try and get assistance for electric and a payment for the gas as we could not pay these bills this month. That is why I am really trying to concentrate and do these sites every day because right now I am considering working online as my job. So to answer your question yes I too could use more money :)
