PCLinux OS, a viable alternative to Windows?

I dual-boot both my desktop and laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Pro & PCLinuxOS2010. Not sure if it is just me, but the PCLinuxOS distro seems to be much better than Ubuntu (picked-up my WiFi card no probs, unlike Ubuntu). With all the various programs I have installed (for free) it really gives my Windows 7 a run for its money. For a start-off, it is a lot faster at doing certain things such as image processing.
I can still run some of my Windows progs under 'wine', and the whole thing just works.

I don't think that linux OS is a good alternative for windows.... specially because of the software that are available for windows and for linux... Many of the software that are created today are compatible with windows but are not compatible with linux... Then you can also get help or technical assistance for windows easily but for linux you may not get that help..
A better alternate for windows will be MAC OS... at least they have good customer service and you get all the assistance needed...

Just because windows is now so widely used, we have so many softwares for it, as well viruses . I dual boot my vista with ubuntu and yes i had problems updating my drivers in ubuntu, i was irritated when my nvidia drivers were not installed and the screen resolution was so large, it looked ridiculous . Then later somehow i managed to install my nvidia driver. Yes they are faster than windows, but the only problem is that there are so many softwares we need today and they are not available for linux, especially the games some of us play on windows.
