Time just run so fast that my baby is turning one year old. I could still remember the day I gave birth to him and now he's turning one. His birthday is coming soon and I don't have any plans yet how to celebrate it and make it special. I don't want it to be so expensive since I can't afford it. i just wanted to make it simple but memorable birthday party of his life. What will you suggest for me?

Making an occasion memorable doesn't need to spend big amount of money. You can make special with relatives and close friends. Make sure to take a video for your compilation and pictures too. You can also do it at your own backyard or in your house (to avoid renting place) Since it is your son's birthday ,you can plan for some kiddie games and parent-kid games too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son

First of all you need to realize that your baby won't remember their first birthday, so there really is no need at all to be extravagant about what you do for their first birthday. For my children we just had a small party and invited the family to the house to celebrate. We let the kids have their own cakes to make a mess with and took lots and lots of pictures. I remember their first birthdays very vividly, and I think that was the best way that we could celebrate that birthday in a way that wouldn't overwhelm the baby.

The first birthday is a great milestone but my first suggestion will be to keep it simple. He won't remember this birthday and really won't care if it was his biggest birthday bash ever. People generally tend to over do it for their own 'peace of mind' which can completely overwhelm a baby and cause them to be cranky! So is it really worth it? Pick a theme your son enjoys (I would suggest to keep away for commercial themes) and gear the whole party and gift idea towards it. For example Lullabies or bath time, or a day at the park... Have a small bbq with close friends and family and enjoy the day with your son.

First of all, you can make your baby's first birthday special if you give him or her what she likes most...like the thing the attract him or her the most. Whenever she or he watches TV you know that something catch his or her attention, then start from there. Let say like my son he wants Diego cousin of Dora i made it extra special because i have a Diego Mascot on his birthday ..starting from theinvitation, tarpulin, giveaways and souvenirs, prizes from the game and up to the thank you cards all has Diego characters...Take all the pictures from his smile and cries because you cannot turn it back....that's all i can suggest
