Is your facebook account really safe and remains private?

I read about this fact that facebook content is readily accessible to strangers from this site http://www.interestingfacts.org/fact/facebook-and-your-privacy. One of my friend even says that she could not use facebook chat while chatting with me because her husband can chase all of her chat messages by this software which I don't know what. Now I wonder, is really your facebook account remains private?

I think it is not safe in face book . So i always keep a limit in face book account.

I kept it on private to the extent that I can't be searched by other people. That is already tried and tested since I have my other account just to test if how it was look like and it was really so private.

i think it`s not more safer even i make limitations to anyone or publics to know my profile..too much crime in cyber worlds

Once you join and make an account in social networking just like facebook, you really cant expect to keep your privacy. Its impossible to keep your privacy in those sites.

I dont know this...but i had deleted the messages from facebook and one day my wife reads it out to me. Though it was nothing personal or against her, but i just wonder how could she retrieve it when i had deleted them.

facebook account is not private. There was an instance that facebook account of my husband was accessed by other people.Privacy thing in the internet is not true.
